More CLB!

Yeah interesting concept those serations placed different from normal back of the blade.

Allthough this one is very tactical i like it.

yeah Mat, the serrations placed on the "belly" of the edge will make the Direkt a light saber (like my serrated Spyderco Massad Ayoob) ;)

Wow Chad, you just keep coming up with awesome designs! That Keycom looks wicked...it'd be really nice in a larger version too! And I like the Direkt too!...soo many nice designs!

Hey Will,

Did you notice the ergonomic features of the Edit look different as on the Subcom Fixed. Recoil is different and handle is tilted like on the Trance.

Coating will probably be Titanium Nitride like on Hyper/M-type.

The little cut out before the Thumbstud on the Direct might have something to do with blade holding when closed:confused:? Or is it just Chadoyance???:D

Yep! Feels to me like a Trance handle with a Subcom blade, quite an interesting combo. Personally I think I'll like the handling better, a bit of a negative angle is always nice.

Really not sure what the cutout on the Direkt is for, perhaps some kind of asymmetrical symmetry (I know, it's a contradiction:p)?

hehe, yeah Will for sharpening the false edge :yawn:

Great new designs. KeyCom looks very nice. Wouldnt mind seeing bigger version too. And Edit is very elegant looking. Very very nice. Congrats, Chad!

Finally, some knife with serrations close to the tip! ...

To tell the truth, Spyderco made a short run of Police models with the reversed combo edge (the serrated part was near the tip and the plain edge near the handles).
But Chad's idea is even better. He leaves a small plain edge near the tip as well. IIRC, it is what he used to call "the Midway concept". :)

Behold the awesomeness that is CLB design (Chad posted specs on EDCForums):

DIREKT:
Open: 8 3/4
Blade Length: 3 5/8
Weight: 4.2 oz.
Double sided G10 scales...so these are liner locks??? Wha???
440C Ti-Coated blade
4-way pocket clip

EDIT:
OAL- 5 3/8
Zytel sheath
Fob included
440C Ti-Coat

KEYCOM:
Opened: 3 3/4
Bead blasted AUS8 blade
Framelock w/pocket clip
Weight: 1.4 oz.

It seems that there are times when Boker decides that, for some reason or another, Chad's designs must be altered in some way.

So far, the knives haven't really suffered because of it. However, this time, the liner-lock is a negative versus a frame lock - at least for me.

Looking very nice! Wouldn't mind having Chad give us a bit more background info as you said, personally I'm curious as to why a keychain knife is getting a pocket clip.

Yeah Will,

I never clip my Subcoms. I think keyrings would be better suited for the tiny ones.
