More Issues with Web Special Knives

From what I have been reading I have a feeling the web special page is history.

You must have been reading something I haven't seen.
Wouldn't be the first time I missed something though. I did go check just to make sure it was still there ...

Yes it is still there. I feel the knives are not seconds as my 4 knives are pretty much perfect. I think a lot of issues are with the natural material they use. I did check my 118 and it is in good shape.

I don't remember too many web specials, I got a Buck / Strider years ago when this forum found out about it, but I haven't seen any since this one. My guess is they will sell out of these and not have the specials for awhile and then hopefully they will have another special sale.

I also agree that the 532 is a nice knife and it would be nice if the price dropped a little, I also would like to see the ram 112 go down in price, but I feel they will eventually sell out at the price they are asking. Which I guess is a good thing, I need another knife like I need another hole in my head. :p

So far all of mine have been great also. My only concern is that they might cut off the web specials all together after all the fuss. I check it several times a day to see if it's been updated.

I just keep hoping that they will drop the price on the Ironwood/Mammoth tooth 532 some more. I'll be all over that one!:D
OH NOOOO..... The 532 is gone, no longer on the web special page.

I have been watching that one too. Maybe it will come back....., but most likely it is sold out.:(

I messed up by not getting another one. I tried a couple of times to order from the site, but I was having a problem. I've had to use a different e-mail address each of the three times I ordered before. It just kept telling me my e-mail address was already in use and wouldn't take the order. I should have called, so "if you snooze you lose".:grumpy:

Guess who got his order in for the Ironwood/M. Tooth 532 last night!!
I thought at first it was expensive but when I started researching my two BG42 532's and found out they had a suggested retail of $100 in 2000. Also, the club 532 is a similar featured knife and it was within $5 of the web special...so I decided it was a fair price and order it and the giraffe bone last night. Maybe I got the last one...don't know.

Does anyone know how many of the Ironwood knives were produced?? I'm assuming it was a LE with something like 200 produced but just guessing. I suppose I'll know first of next week. g

Yep Plum, the web site is a absolute clunker that need a lot of work.
I signed in and set my account info and made one order. It refuses to take anymore orders on my account. Same issue with email address. So I just go straigt to check out and use another email address set up to my computer. That's how I've made the couple additional orders. This problem should be fixed. Maybe Phil, CJ, Joe, & Liz need to hear that their account system is a one time order taker:eek::eek::eek:

I'll bet that'll cause some activity in the IT department, whatever his name is??

The COA that came with mine says:

This Wilde Bill Cody custom model 532 Bucklock is one of a limited edition production of only 200 knives, etc.

The one I have is number five.

The last order, I called in and told Liz about it. She had me send her an e-mail telling what was happening and that she would forward it to someone so it would get fixed. I guess it didn't.

My elk Ranger came in today. It is gorgeous. I will post pics as soon as I can.
Really nice packaging, as well.

It is nice enough that I wish I had gotten several.

well,
today i talked with some one at buck and
the web site manager is aware of some of the issues
with the page and is looking in to it..
it is possable that a caveat may be added that there
may be some cosmetic differences from stock item picutre shown
but they were not sure...
they are trying to get a fix on what happened
btw the specials are selling fast !
if you want one - get your order in ..

334dave, I think you should just go out there and straighten the web site out!!! It's pretty obvious that the IT/site maintainer has no idea of how to set up a web site!!! Buck is losing money because of the new "improved" web site and its many deficiencies!!! :grumpy:

They need a Navy boomer teakettle engineer to set them back on course!!!

I nominate *you*!!! ;)

dugh chicken' ..

as the sign says
das computtn engine is dellcute sinstive machine
dis samappen dis spring vorks and blowen de fuse fer only looking at it..
and thus it is not fer de finger poken an mitten grabben

which is what i do now ...
I is not up to date on
new fancy smachy computting machines
the last computer i built and set up was a 486 with windows 3.2..
however i agree that it should not be that hard for a good geek to fix..
