Nice pics. I might want to try that some day. Is that a piranha that is being gutted in the third pic?

Yes, it is. We had already cut its teeth out.

I caught one while I was fishing a tournament down in Texas. The DNR guys took it when I showed it to them. I have heard that they are a tasty fish. What is your experience with them?

I would really like to do the Jungle Course. I need to start saving! Thanks for the pics Jeff.

To me they're the best tasting fish down there except for Paiche.

Joezilla looks at home there. I bet you had to drag him out of the bush everytime it was time to move out. That guy is a bug/reptile hunting fiend, good to have around. You should see his pet Black Widow, things the size of a half dollar.

2012 Joe, remember, 2012. Everglades in Feb, Peru in May. :D:thumbup:

Very cool! Just need to find the cojones to try this. The older I get the more I am about comfort. Ever thought to do some survival training trips in Patagonia?

It's rare but we do run across a participant every so often that simply belongs in the jungle and needs to stay and never come home. Joe is one of them. The jungle fits Joe. Joe fits the jungle.

"What the hell is takin' ya'll so long? I'm ready to go!"

Well I just looked up the price of a plane ticket.

I will be posting up one of my Kidneys in the Exchange section!:D

That's what's killing us is the plane ticket costs. It's amazing. I can fly to Bogota for a third of what it costs me to get into Iquitos.

The cost of the course seems very reasonable but WOW plane ticket is crazy! I really think if the plane ticket was closer to 600 or 1000 bucks I could MAYBE swing it in 2012 but 1600 bucks is just outrageous!

You can check around and get deals every once in a while. Travel agents seem to find better deals.

Thanks Jeff. Maybe I will just have to settle for the Woodlands course. The Jungle course looks like so much more "fun".

Its the cost of travel that gets ya. Right now, my plane ticket "quote" for going in 2012 is about as much as the course costs, plus expenses. I'm saving money for it now, and will finish it off with my tax return next year. Either way, I'm goin'. Even if I have to start selling plasma, and double red, I'm goin'.

I couldn't go this year, because of the cost, so, I started planning to go next year.
