More Missouri Black Walnut

James, thanks! I'll keep my eyes open for the piece large enough but most of what we get is cut 1.125" thick.

For a Fender-style neck blank I'd need a piece 27" x 3 1/2" x 1 1/8". I shudder to think of the cost, but good grief that would be cool... put a nice ebony fretboard on it with some Gibson-style MOP inlays... ash body with a flame-maple bookmatched top...ohhhh my... I'm getting goosebumps :o :D

Don, I know that selling these blocks is not your normal gig, but if I may I'd love to make an observation, as the samples you've been showing are spectacular. It seems that somewhere along the line, knifemaker supply houses got the idea that 5" long blocks were what we needed... invariably I find myself wishing for 5-1/2" to 6" long pieces, and they're few and far between in that size range. I've resorted to other sources, but it sounds as if you've definitely got a line on the good stuff... do you have any in larger sizes?
Thanks!

Matt, yeah, standard size is 1''x1.5''x5''. My problem was the 1.5" high, which wont work on most big knives. I'll see if my bother will start cuttin them 5.5" to 6" long.

Thanks,

I have to get through a show next weekend, but if there's a set of 4 left after I will be wanting some
