More MOASH Exercises (pic heavy thread)

No calipers here either. Gotta get a set at some point.

To the naked (and somewhat sober) eye, mine comes in at 5/16".
 
Gauge the thickness with a micrometer. I believe the MOASH is .345 while I believe the HOGFSH is .325 (unsure about that one, maybe one of the experts could chime in)
 
Sorry, was looking up an old email to get the info. Didn't see your other posts. I got a good micrometer at Harbor Freight tools. I don't know if you have one where you live, but I'm sure you can order online. I got it at the last sidewalk sale for like $8. It'll do the job every time unless you're making measurements for NASA.
 
Man, you guys gotta admit the SH is one bad looking knife and the MOASH...............................DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!
 
Tell me about it! That's why I sold a few knives that I really liked and bought one!! I'm REALLY excited. I'll try to refrain from shaking down my mail carrier for my box this next week!

pardon my ignorance , i`ll be a busse owner sometime this year (i hope) but did any of this chip/roll the edge?

I have two exactly like that. One is an HOFSH and the other is a MOASH. The difference is that the HOFSH measures (Mine anyway) 0.32" and the MOASH measures 0.35". Not really much of a difference really but noticeable.

I've been meaning to buy some calipers anyway. This'll be a good excuse, though I'm now starting to think my knife may only be the lowly HOG-FSH. Dang 3/100's of an inch. What will I do? How can I go on? :D

SIRGALANT, it takes more than a little wood chopping to roll the edge on a Busse. Now if I'd chopped something a little tougher... like a Plymouth...
