More New ones from Case.

CV Swayback ordered. To heck with fiscal responsibility.

I ordered a swayback, peanut and a stockman all in chestnut bone and cv on friday. Maybe they'll be here this week...

They all came in the mail today. I'm impressed with all three. The swayback jack has to be my favorite. No blade play, great half stops, and the back springs are flush in all positions.

This is my first peanut. It's really small, about the same size as the clip on my XM-18:eek::eek::eek:

Dammit, you people are costing me a lot of money...lol
I saw this thread so of course I had to check out the swayback and peanut in cv, why the hell stop at those I don't have a sodbuster either....obviously I need it right!
Seriously though how are the f&f of the swayback and the peanut, did all of yours arrive with no blade play at all? (I hate blade play)
How is knifeworks.com?

Mine had zero blade play on all three knives. Thats 7 for 7 if you count the blades, better than my usual odds with Case.

I only have three right now, but they are all perfect.
I am starting to wonder when my odds will start dwindling. lol

If my wife kills me again its gonna be yalls fault. Did someone mention knife-aholics anonomous?

I'm praying for no bladeplay in mine. Though my most solid out of the box slippie is my case stockman.

Can anyone post a picture of their swayback? I'm impatient if you can't tell. :o

My new CV Swayback finally arrived, and it's a beaut. Capt. Carl- you'll be happy to hear- I have zero blade play on either blade. This is a wonderfully-made little knife. The jigging on the bone is nice and crisp, the dye is smooth and even. All of the pins are perfectly peened. The backsprings are flush in all 3 positions on both blades. Bone to bolster fit is perfect. Honestly, if the parts hadn't been tumbled, I'd think I was holding a Schatt & Morgan. Trying to pick apart the knife and find something wrong with it, the only thing I can find is that the action on the pen blade is a bit sluggish. But I think it just needs to be cleaned. And the edges were only passably sharp out of the box. A few minutes of TLC fixed that right up. It's screaming sharp now.
This new chestnut-CV line looks to be a real winner. Great job, Case!

I'd LOVE to see the Swayback in yellow delrin and CV. Man, that would be the bees knees.

That is good to hear! Thanks for the info. Mine shipped out today. Should see it Saturday if I'm lucky, maybe Monday. If no pictures are up by then I can always try and get some in if I feel like getting out the camera. I'm sure some folks are curious of the size.
