More Tanto Sebenzas?

Plus the tanto portion towards the tip of the blade has some "belly" to it that allows for doing fine cutting near the tip. The umnum tanto has more belly that the NICA tanto and IMO is more useful for everyday cutting stuff. Good move Neil!

I'm also curious as to how this version differs from the NICA tanto.

Wow! Just ordered one with double blue lugs. I've been trying to buy a NICA for the last 6 months but I keep missing them. I actually think I prefer the look of these. Now I want a lefty to go with it. Did you guys buy them all?

TNK, one more site I have to check every day to see if I have to give them my money. Well done!

I picked up a NICA tanto from eBay last week. I think I was the only one that bid on it. ????? It's really nice too.

I did see one last week that was part of a pretty nice CRK collection that someone was selling. I did bid on the NICA but it ended up going for over $900. That is just too much for that knife.

Yes, it's true.

Our new Exclusive Sebenza 21 Tanto. New lanyards with spacers- Silver or Blue Lugs. Single and Double Lugs. Right or Left handed.

The first lot of Large ones are en route- they will be on the website in a day or so.

ARRRGH! I have a plain edge coming and never new about this - darn! :grumpy:

I managed to snag a "double thumb lug + silver furniture" version. Thanks, Neil, for offering these in various configurations!

I just moved my tanto Umnum, as it just wasn't quite doin' it for me, but also found my Sm. Sebenza seemed a bit small after a couple months of Umnum carry. The size of the tanto 21 Seb seems much more "in line" with my definintion of a "larger knife" than did the Umnum, eventhough they're very close in size. It might be more to do with the "plain Jane" nature of the Sebs that appeals to me. I don't really know, but the tanto 21 instantly felt more like a knife I want to carry. I do wish the blade was a bit wider like the Umnum tanto, but that's not a deal-breaker. The ball detent is extremely solid and F&F is perfect. I'd even say the tip appears to be a bit more stout than that of the tanto Umnum, but I could be wrong.
Thanks Neil, True North Knives and Chris Reeve Knives for another winner!

Actually, along these same lines, Neil has two types of Umnumzaan Tanto blade profiles: Standard and Dynamic Tip (the "LE" version has this). Here is his photo:

It's hard to tell, but the Sebenza 21 Tanto blade profile, in terms of the tip, almost looks like that of the Dynamic Tip. Neil could confirm. In either case, it's a winner, as you wrote.

I am not a big fan of tantos. The TNK Umnumzaan and Sebenza tanto exclusives look really good though. I am contemplating getting a regular Umnum or tanto Umnum.
