Recommendation? More than just another knife

I dont agree with your premise. After I bought my sebenzas this year I then bought a hinderer and a ZT 0804. The Sebenza is quite simply perfection but that doesn't put an end to my love for knives. I plan to add more brands and styles to my collection and all knives I own get used. Can't fully appreciate a knife unless you use it.

And you should absolutely not agree with my premise! If we all agreed, then this would be no more than another fan site for some model or brand of knife.

I agree that you can't fully appreciate a knife unless you use it, but that's the problem. Strip away all the philosophy and personal preference, and you have a cutting tool, which can be lost, stolen, or broken, no matter how careful you are. That has to enter into my personal calculus when I ask "how much knife can I afford?" Although it should really be "how much knife do I feel comfortable using in the way it is supposed to be used?"

Turns out, the answer is $150.00. More than that, even "a little more", is a no-go. You won't find an authentic CRK in acceptable condition at that price.
