There have been several comments about knives that should have been on the list, but were not. If you think a particular knife should be on the list, post it. Then we can do a second round with the top winners of this poll.

I own only two of the knives on that list.

I've owned eleven models/knives off of the list; multiples of those models as well... (4 endura fours for example!):foot::eek::cool::thumbup::D)

I think this poll reflects more about what is your favorite knife with a little common sense thrown in. For example, I can't imagine that the Spydie PM2 or ZT 0770 is the most common knife owned by BF members. It just makes no sense as being the "most common". The same would apply to many of the knives listed. However, the Buck 110 or Victorinox Classic might well reflect what people believe to be the most commonly owned. I own a classic, but it is too small to use in any practical knife task other than cleaning your finger nails or opening a letter.

A better reflection is what was the first Vic SAK, Benchmade, Kershaw or Spyderco knife you purchased? I suspect that most of us choose something fairly economical as the first in a brand. My first Spyderco was the Native that was sold at Walmart. It is a matter of walking before you run.

I have owned just about every knife on that list. The only one I still have, is my Griptilian and it rides in pocket every day.

I'm a bit surprised that the Paramilitary 2 is top vote so far.

I saw that after I posted. That's what you get when you are supposed to be working

Oh, its all good. I wasn't going to say anything about it, but then had such a kick saying "Mora Companino" with different accents that I had to mention it :D.

Also, I own some of the other brands, but not the models listed (Opinel #6, SAK Alox farmer), but nothing at all from Spyderco, Benchmade, ZT, Ontario, Buck or many of the other big names.

I tried to be as objective as possible. I don't know if you saw my previous post that asked for suggestions and I took the 20 most suggested knives. This will be never be a perfect poll, unless it becomes a sticky and everyone has a chance to vote. I was honestly surprised at some of the knives on the list and I own less than half and my favorite knife did not make the list. It is interesting that the 2 that were suggested most are not the leaders. I think you are correct in that there are some up there that people "believe" are the most common like the Buck 110 and the SAK classic, and this may not necessarily be the case. The longer we can keep this going, the more accurate it will be.

Its okay. I was just throwing out some thoughts rather than trying to re-direct your thread. It does amaze me how often the Vic Classic is recommended when it is so tiny. Must be the little scissors. :D

As to the ZT owners, I would venture to guess that more people have a 350 variant than any other model. And with the Kershaw line, the US models get talked about quite often, but because of price, would bet many more of the china versions have sold. Just spit ballin'. :)

The poll might have been more accurate if the question was "which knife do you own, and how many of them" instead of "which knife is the most common"

As it is now it's asking for an opinion. :)

Those little scissors are crazy useful. Works great for hangnails and loose string.

There are five on your list that I currently own and several more that I have owned. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

I think the Vic Cadet and the Benchmade 940 would have been interesting additions to the list.

This sounds right. I don't own a SAK or Buck, and have no desire to. :)

With that being said, I have four on the list.

I checked those that I currently own. (6 knives)

I do feel that the traditional folders are under-represented. I mean, who doesn't own a Case knife? I guess the Buck 110 and Opinel sort of represent.

This is a BF poll, though, so what you see is what you get. Maybe folks over in the Traditional forum don't visit here as often as those who are into modern knives.

Just my observations...

I have 9 on the list. Looking a the poll results so far, they are also among the most common owned by others. Looks like you are on the right track.

Glad I'm not the only one. :D

I've got 4 on the list, though I've played with all of them but the ZT.
