I know that many here own a Buck 110 or a clone (I think I have three, posssibly four.), but how often do they use them? Years ago it was a dominant using choice for me, not anymore. From the list, my using knives (EDC) are ZT 0770, Spydie Native and Delica, a SAK or three, and a at least one traditional other than a SAK. The list is actually pretty good on what people often recommend here. I have recommended the Spydie Sage and Manix2, the Leek, and Griptillian, but I don't own them. I know they are good knives and it is just a matter of what size you are comfortable with or get used to.

It's funny. I have eight of the knives on this list. Grip, Mini-Grip, PM2, RAT, Buck 110, Mora Companion. Blur and Skyline. The knife I use everyday is none of these but a Case Medium Stockman in yellow Delrin. The Mora gets the heavy work and camp knife duties while all the others sit on shelves collecting dust.

This is kind of going how I would have thought it would. There is certainly a reason that whenever reputable dealers get the PM2 in stock it goes out of stock rather quickly...

Very interesting poll though. I have owned a lot of the knives on here, but currently only own 3, as my collection has gone to a much "higher" place for me at the moment. Not to say I can't still love and carry the ones I do own from this list right now ;)

Even when I have a daily carry knife that comes in around $1000, my little Victorinox and my PM2 still both get carried as well.

As the OP has stated, this is not perfect. And as a former Research/Data Analyst I can see that it is far from Scientific. That said, it is very interesting to watch.

SAK classic is making a comeback!

I fell kinda left out.
Just sold my PM2.
And lost my Spartan years ago.
"None of the above."

It is interesting really. I notice that basically the dominant chocies are the PM2, Delica, Buck 110, and Vic Classic which had 89 or more reponses at this point. And yes, it definitely gives an indication why PM2 sell out quickly at the dealers.

New rule.

Anyone with none of the above should post one of their favorites instead. :D

Bonus fake internet points for pictures.

Great thread, good job on the list picks too!
Thanks, based on some of the responses we can ad or delete certain knives and keep the poll going. The more exposure the more accurate the poll will be

I just realized that I should have voted for the Mora. I saw "Companino" and didn't recognize it as "Companion":o

That puts me at 14/20. I think I have a problem.

I own 10 of them. In some cases(Blur, Leek, Opinel 8, Mora, Tenacious) I own more than one variety of the knife. I owned a Victorinox Classic when I was younger, but it's long gone, and my current Victorinox(the Midnight Manager) is the only one I have, as I am not an SAK collector and the Manager has all I really need on an SAK.

Something to note, if you put both the large and small Griptillian together, you quickly outpace the others. Is there really that much difference between the two? I state this question, not having ever owned, or even handled either. Yeah, I know, how can someone who's been into knives for so long be in that position? The design just never appealed to me. I guess I'd make a distinction between a Military and a Paramilitary, so maybe the poll stands, as it is.

After using and buying knives for over 50 years, I have only owned 1 of the knives listed - the Buck 110. I've bought 8 of them over the years and still have all of them. Never even held most of the rest. I have had a couple of SAKs in the past, but I couldn't verify that they were Victorinix brand, much less which model.

It's funny how I got 5 spyderco and none of them are on the poll.

sage 2 and 3
military
manix 2
dice

But I got a mini-grip and small sebenza 21.

I was thinking the same. I have none of the knives on the list but do own the military.

I've owned most of the knives on that list, but I only voted for the ones I currently own.
I'm surprised the Para II is leading the Delica. There is no doubt that Spyderco sells more Delicas. That shows the bias towards the premium end among knife nuts.

Buck 110 knife for now.

I only voted for one knife too.

The ones that I think are popular, some that I like, some that my husband likes and some that my late husband, late Dad and older brother owned and liked would be in the following name brands:

Buck, Case - PA, Shrade-NY - older knives, Camillus-NY - older knives especially the older SS military folding knives before and after Nam, some older German made Boker knives and specific models of the Swiss Army knife - not a knock off but the Victorinox brand.

Gonna be the 110 and Vic. Any surprises here?

10,113.26 % of the vote. Just like an election.
