Most common knife owned by BF members

I once read Victorinox sells more knives per year than any other knife company and that the Classic was their biggest seller. So, those who said Vic Classic are most likely correct. I look forward to a poll results. :D

I did not think of the SAK classic, but I know I have a few floating around. I would definitely think it is the most popular knife among the general public. It will be interesting to see if it is amongst knife enthusiasts

I doubt it is going to work out to be any one knife model. Even if everyone has a SAK, the Tinker and Spartan are both super popular.

In the end it is just as likely that 25% of us all have some weird little Gerber sitting in a drawer, and that ends up being the most common.

IMO that's more of a multi tool that has a blade and not particularly a dedicated knife.
Therefore, I would guess the Buck 110.
Kershaw chive is also very popular
And the Spyderco bug series is also prevalent on many key chains

Spyderco Delica
Spyderco PM2
Kershaw Skyline
Kershaw Blur
Benchmade mini-grip.

It's one of those 5.

Can a poll be put on the top of this thread?
My guess would be a mini-grip or a para military 2

To make a poll, we would have to list a whole bunch of knives that might be commonly owned, and allow for each person to check off each knife they own from that long list. Responses to this thread could be considered possible knives to have on the poll list.

A good handful of folks around here would own every knife on the poll. :D

To answer the question specifically, The Victorinox Classic. It's no where near my favorite of most carried, but I thinks it is the most commonly owned knife.

I have to believe this question has been posted before, but I am not very good at searching old threads. If it is out there let me know. If its not I think it would be interesting to know.

What is the most common knife owned by Blade forum members. If we get enough good suggestions then narrow down to some finalists, I think a poll would be in order.

So... What knife do you think is most common among us knife nuts

I'll start it off with my guess Benchmade Griptillian

Lets hear your guesses. Make it a specific brand and model, like Victorinox pioneer, not just Victorinox or SAK

I think that a lot of people on bladeforums, in the general knife discussion in particular, forget how many people there are in the traditional knife sub forum. Taking that into consideration, KAI or spyderco may be the overwhelming favorite in the general forum, but not on all of blade forums. (Particularly KAI considering they don't have a sub forum)

I nominate a victorinox classic.

Maybe an opinel no 8 as well.

My first thought was the Griptilian (which I don't own), but then I reconsidered, and now I'd say it's the Kershaw Leek (which I do own).

Para 2, Delica/Endura, Tenacious
Buck 110
Skyline, Leek

My guesses!

I'm pretty new to carry knives, and I'm not all that much of a traditionalist. Yet even I have a Buck 110. That one gets my vote.

I own exactly one of the knives mentioned so far...and it sits there because I didn't like it enough to put it in my pocket. That's okay - I don't mind being different.
I would probably buy an Opinel 8, though, just to be a part of the group - the only reason I haven't yet is that the carbon blade isn't available with a handle option.
