Most common knife owned by BF members

I dunno... seems like most SAK users prefer a model with regular-size handles. Recruit, Farmer, Camper, etc.

This is my situation actually. The only SAK I've ever owned, is the Alox farmer I got few years ago (still have it). I've seen people with the SAK classics of course, but I've never owned one, or gifted any of them. But I'd have thought that the larger ones are more popular around here, but as its been pointed out, "popular" doesn't mean "most populous" at all.

Interesting question.

I think the small size makes the Ladybug more of a novelty item, so I'd bet fewer Bladeforums members are likely to own a Ladybug than some other models. I've got a Ladybug also.

I would guess the Dragonfly and Delica are more popular than the ladybug.

I'm sure the SAK Classic will be the winner, although I want the winner to be more fun and interesting.

Relying strictly on subject matter within BF threads (pretending I know nothing about knives outside of BF), I'd say that any of the following are the top:

Leek
PM2
Blur
Buck 110
Delica

Over 500 knives in my collection, and I only have one from your list. ;)
But I'm probably not the average demographic of the General forum either.

Funny, I only own two on my list- the SAK and the Buck 110.

Which one do you own?

Why not first do a brand poll to find the most popular/populous brand, and then hold another poll with models from that brand. Or, maybe that's just a dumb idea.....I just liking thinking aloud online...

I'd have to guess some type of SAK, or maybe the Buck 110. We all seem to have one or both of those choices.

I had an old Vic SwissChamp on the early 90's but was stolen. Also had a Buck 110 in the 80's as a kid but that went missing as well.

I think that it's TIME...

Yes Its Time

I think I need to start a new thread to ad a poll. I went through all the suggestions and came up with 20 There were a few that were the definite leaders, so it will be interesting to see which one comes out on top.

Here are the ones that made the poll, in no particular order

Benchmade Grip
Benchmade mini grip
Benchmade 710
Spyderco Delica
Spyderco PM2
Spyderco Tenacious
Spyderco Endura
Spyderco Native
Ontario Rat
Victorinox Classic
Victorinox Spartan
Buck 110
Kershaw Blur
Kershaw Chive
Kershaw skyline
Kershaw Leak
Sebenza 21
Opinel No. 8
Mora companion
ZT 770

I don't think there is any way that knives from Benchmade or choices like the PM2 are the most popular. The "I won't spend over $100" crowd is just too big. I think it's something not too expensive like the Leek, Buck 110 or some SAK....maybe a mora?

I vote Buck 110, SAK Classic, and Mora Companion in that order. That's specific models of course.

If you went with just manufacturers, my list would be SAK, BUCK, and Mora in that order.

I REALLY would like to see someone do the poll.
