Most Massive Super Strong Folder?

So what is the most massive as in blade and liner thickness, length, and overall strength folder available? I'm looking for something like a folding version of the Becker BK2!

I don't care about weight or bulk. I would prefer the blade to be less than 5.5 inches as that's the legal limit in Texas but this would be the only limitation and I could even over look that if need be.

Right now I'm looking at the Ontario XM-1 but would prefer a little longer blade. An example of a knife that sort of fits the bill would be the discontinued Lone-Wolf T3, The Extrema Ratio RAO, etc. Even the cold steel Rajah II although the blade is over 5.5 inches and I don't think it would meet the pry bar strength that I'm looking for.

Is there something out there that I am missing?

Check out the Grayman Satu and Crusader Forge FIFP. Both are titanium framelocks with 4" blades and an overall weight of about 10 oz. Also take a look at the knives of Peter R, a custom maker on this forum.

Bm adamas, a few zt's, cs spartan, cs voyagers, there are a bunch of overbuilt stupid tough folders out there

The ZT 0300 is just about the strongest folder you can get without getting a custom knife. It's stronger than a strider because It has a steel liner in addition to the Ti and G10.

Wow, God Bless Texas! You can carry a knife up to 5.5"?

Legally that is as large of a blade as we can go unless you are taking part in an activity that a bigger blade is suitable for. Camping, hiking, etc.
Along with several other stipulations for what knife you can use.

It's lame. :(

yep and in the same texan penal code 46.01 we (texans) arent allowed to carry "Bowie" knives, kinda makes you wonder

as to the OP, ZT, CS, Strider, all make great production sharpened pry bars.

Unless you're unfortunate enough to live in LA, in which case you're limited to 3". (luckily I'm not!) :D
I know -- that's why I was careful to say 'state' law. And fortunately I don't live in LA with its silly 3" limit either! :)

Good replies so far! I'm checking them out as they come. Hossom looks good although I prefer a more military or tactical look. Grayman looks good also. My ultimate idea would be a 5 inch blade of .25 inch 1095 steel, 1/8 inch liners and G10 scales, maybe even bolsters, and of course some crazy 7/16 pivot pin or something! lastly a removable pin like the Extrema Ratio RAO to absolutely lock the blade once it's deployed. It sounds silly I know but it really should not weigh that much more than a Becker BK2 but when folded would be MUCH easier to carry and would be okay in situations where carrying a fixed blade is a no no. Anybody else think there would be a use for such a knife?

Maybe I need to brake out a CAD program and start drawing it up!

Demko doing a not so little something for me once my turn comes up. It'll be the most strongest there is :)

Um. I can answer this one. This.

I like my Bob Dozier Workhorse. Not my pic as I'm still getting those teeny, tiny pics. But it is my knife!!:)

SPECS
- .218" thick D2 blade
- 4.25" blade
- 9.50" oal
- .190" thick titanium handles
- .090" thick Tab Lock lock bar

Tab Lock uses the same liner to make the liner lock and the stop pin. One solid piece of titanium locking up along the entire height of the blade tang, top to bottom.

My strongest folder would have to be this beast! My Andrew Demko AD-10 with contoured carbon fiber handles, S35VN blade, all titanium spacers and pocket clip, and of course the famous Tri-Ad lock!

Blade - S35VN / .195 thickness / 3.60 length.

Spacers - .05 titanium.

Handles - .125 thick contoured carbon fiber.

Can you share any details? The Demko AD-10 is VERY close to what I'm after. I would just need a longer blade in the 5 inch area and would go a little heavier on the liners. The only thing is it appears I would have a very long wait to get a custom Demko, if ever. Plus not sure he would do a 5 incher. Any thoughts?

Wow! nice knife! It has the blade size and thickness as well as huge liners. Yours is the overall winner so far as it has the blade length over the Demko as well as being even more beefy. Does Dozier still take orders? Is it practical as far as price and build time? Thanks for the pics and info!

As far as production I really think the Ontario Hossom Retribution 1 has the top spot. I'm not really wild about the design of the handle but I love the opening hole as my EDC is always Spyderco.

Funny I asked myself the same question and this is what I came up with. Top one is Harsey T3, 10.5"OAL with a 5" blade and the bottom one is a Crusader Forge FIFP Metro Spear Point 9.75"OAL with a 4" blade. These folders are treading on fixed blade territory.
