Most Massive Super Strong Folder?

Demko does longer blades, mine is 4.5". I don't know if there's a stronger lock on a custom available. Frame locks or liner locks are likely strong enough for whatever you want to do, but if you are looking for plain braggin rights, then they reportedly don't come close to the triad, lockback, compression, axis, or ball bearing locks for static weight.

Can you share any details? The Demko AD-10 is VERY close to what I'm after. I would just need a longer blade in the 5 inch area and would go a little heavier on the liners. The only thing is it appears I would have a very long wait to get a custom Demko, if ever. Plus not sure he would do a 5 incher. Any thoughts?

Wow! nice knife! It has the blade size and thickness as well as huge liners. Yours is the overall winner so far as it has the blade length over the Demko as well as being even more beefy. Does Dozier still take orders? Is it practical as far as price and build time? Thanks for the pics and info!

As far as production I really think the Ontario Hossom Retribution 1 has the top spot. I'm not really wild about the design of the handle but I love the opening hole as my EDC is always Spyderco.

Precision, I don't think he takes order's for folders, but I may be wrong, and just makes some because they will sell like hotcakes. This Workhorse is from 2007, and I happened to find it for sale, with a very high price, but I wanted it, had the money, and I bought it. Now that I have installed a tip up clip that is foldover, deep-carry, I probably dashed the value quite a bit from what I paid. But it what I wanted and I have the way I like it to be now.

You can always talk to a custom purveyor who goes to the big shows and ask them if they could get you one, but you would be expected to purchase it.

There have been a LOT of good suggestions. The Demko customs are probably the heaviest duty folders from the standpoint of the lock, and thickness of the components. I still regreat that I was unable to get the one I ordered, but I'm sure it sold with no problem.

Crusader's Forge is definately heavy duty with the thick components, and weighs in north of 10 ounces! Just my kind of folder!! Btw, the Dozier weighs 9.6 ounces. The CF FIFP that dinokay mentioned is a HOSS!

I have the Ontario Retribution 1 and it is a big, heavy folder, again, just like I like 'em. The liners are a little over .100" thick, while the blade goes .200" thick. The N690Co blade steel is really good stuff, and is a European steel. It is not set up for clip carry though. The handles flare outward on both sides in an east/west direction, so sheath carry is the way it rides..........unless you modit as I did and sand the flares out of the handles, and install a clip.

Anyway, a lot of great choices here!

The Extrema Ratio RAO..... pry bar

You can go be wrong with the Rao...it's a monster of folder!
Its the stroger folder out there update till today. You have a massive pivot, the most extremely secure locking mechanism"out there", the strongest Tip ever "if we can called that", Good steel too!

+1 for Grayman Satu! If you re lookin for a big tank of a folder thats smooth and well built get a Satu!!

I've got a Lone Wolf T3, and that is a big, solid folder. I really like it, but they are a little hard to find, though. The Benchmade Rukus is about the same size. The Grayman Satu seems like a good option, too.

I'd love to have a T3. If I did I likely would not have posed this question. The ones I see for sale are usually in the $400 plus range and that's too high for a production knife. I actually want a super folder to use not for collecting or looking at. I'm pretty sure I will start with the Ontario Hossom Retribution 1. It seems to meet the strength requirements and has the opening hole which is a big plus since my EDC is always Spyderco. If I can find an Extrema Ratio RAO for a reasonable price I may go that route. I'm really liking the AD-10 if I could get one in a reasonable time and with a much bigger blade that may be the final solution.

Thanks for all the replies and feel free to keep them coming. As I said in my original post "am I missing something?". Clearly I was !! Thanks again.

Boguszewski King Cobra. Other knives run away when they see it, and take their owners with them.

10"+ overall, silky smooth flippin action, beefy and light due to the Ti. I'm sure he would make the blade as thick as you wanted.

So what is the most massive as in blade and liner thickness, length, and overall strength folder available? I'm looking for something like a folding version of the Becker BK2!

I don't care about weight or bulk. I would prefer the blade to be less than 5.5 inches as that's the legal limit in Texas but this would be the only limitation and I could even over look that if need be.

Right now I'm looking at the Ontario XM-1 but would prefer a little longer blade. An example of a knife that sort of fits the bill would be the discontinued Lone-Wolf T3, The Extrema Ratio RAO, etc. Even the cold steel Rajah II although the blade is over 5.5 inches and I don't think it would meet the pry bar strength that I'm looking for.

Is there something out there that I am missing?

Heavy-duty folder is an oxymoron. It is also called as "knife abuse" sometimes. Using the right tool for the job is the most important learning experience that life has given me, and I stick with it. :-)

Its not massive but it is strong.

The secret in the lock. On any folder it is a weak link.

And the massive pivot doesnt hurt either.

My other two 'brutes', a Crawford framelock KFF and a HARM Shark Tank. The Shark Tank has 2,5mm thick liners and a 5mm thick blade of Bohler N690. OAL is 9 inches with a 3,75 inch blade. Scales are contoured CF, liners, clip and thumb disc are anodised titanium. Look at that handle design. It just melts into the hand. Its awesome.
