Which one is the most low key no-nonsense if not downright ugly knife you own?

For me it was a toss-up between the Opinel #12 or the KCB.

Im posting the KCB as its got a leg up on the Opi in the ugly department.

Even with the Opi cut down with a Dremel and it being all beat to heck, its still better looking knife than the KCB.

This gets my vote as the ugliest no-nonse low key knife, that I own.

Its not sexy, its not polished and it doesnt have a fancy handle. It was cheap to make.

Its not a bayonet but a chisel grind KCB made for commercial sale. In spite of the MIL theme , it'll do about the same chores as any other cheapo clip point bowie inspired knife when camping/making kindling for a fire - no better, no worse, I guesstimate.

I have a beat up Mora Companion. I mean, i have about a dozen Mora Companions of various flavors, but this one in particular was my first Mora. Black handle, stainless model. I have used it for just about everything, and it always came through. It's done construction/demo work, camping, kitchen duty, etc... pure utilitarian goodness. Has a few nicks in the edge, and scratches all over the blade, but it always does the task.

Victorinox Farmer & Mora Champion . My electric can opener bit the dust yesterday and once again my Farmer saved the day .

That'd probably my Emerson Commander. I don't actually carry it, but when I leave home it's always with me, because I keep it clipped right beside me on the console of my truck; waiting to do ugly or utilitarian things.

I find the CRK Insingo blade to be insanely practical, even though it’s not much of a looker.

Probably my fully serrated Spyderco Rescue that I was gifted by a generous forum member. It’s not all that pretty to look at but it’s all business when it comes to cutting.

My box cutter is probably my most unabashed utility knife.

But my Emerson cqc7v is probably my knife most utilized in utility cutting tasks. Great little working knife. I have mine reground to a true V edge.

Some nice knives in this thread.

Nice Emerson - good to have as a back-up, as you say.

That GB is damn nice as well - it may be utilitarian but it sure isnt ugly. Ive looked at the Bradley for a while and dearly want one. They are beautiful as well as super users..

The Cat225Q is the epitome of utilitarian IMO. I have a slew of them (bought before the prices went south) and that blade will always be a favorite of mine.

This is the oldest beater that I own. It has been camping, but mostly hangs out in the shop cutting straps and hoses etc.

Very nice knife Sheffield Rodgers - I like those old knives a lot. Just like I like the Cat225.

I just posted a William Rodgers in the dagger thread.

I seem to have read, that your knife was a popular scout knife before they went to primarily folders for some reason.

That Rodgers is a fine utilitarian blade and with a little TLC will continue cutting for generations.
