What is the most rewarding thing you have done that included Becker knives this year?

For me it was taking my girlfriends little brother out and teaching how much fun the outdoors can be. I took him and his dad on his first camping trip, built many campfires, made traps, and are working on a winter shelter to hang out in.

The highlight for me was when he went on a field trip at school to a conservation camp and the insctuctor was talking about campfire making. He asked the kids the three sizes of wood (tinder, kindling and fuel wood) and Noah spoke up and remembered all three. He also stole the instuctors thunder when he mentioned making feather sticks for a campfire.

I don't have many pictures but here are a few from this summer.

He likes to baton!

I have really enjoyed getting out and making fires, cooking food, making shelters.. that sorta stuff. I have really liked this cabin building contest.

For me its really two things. First would be meeting my Becker loving partner/barefooted woodland pixie.

I gutted this kitchen (plus the rest of the home) and remodeled it. Most all of the demo was with my bk2.

After

My Fur/Fish/Game contact called me up to help field dress & butcher a deer they shot because someone hit it and broke its back.

The meat went to a homeless shelter.

Used the BK-5 of course;)

I have to say the two Beckerhead Gatherings are high on my list.
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet so many of my fellow Beckerheads.
I've been otherwise preoccupied this year, and I haven't gotten out near as much as I'd like.
Next year, with some goals behind me, I hope to correct this issue.

That's that wall; isn't it???? EEEWWWWWW!!!!!!!

I can't believe that that's the same place though after you finished it. Good job on that!!!

I slashed 4 36" tires on a poachers truck to make sure he would be there when the Con. officer arrived. I knew the officer enroute and he said the tires just happening ro go flat (wink, wink) would guarantee they wouldnt be going anywhere :-) So let me tell you, a BK2 is not a good sidewall penetration device.... Just a bit wide for the application. These Bastards had been trophy poaching(just taking mounts and wasting the meat) for over a year.... Nice to see them in jail!

FYI, a GI M7 bayonet does a much better job.

Er, so I've been told.

Shooting Mr BK&T's vintage Colt Woodsman up on Half Moon Ridge a couple of weeks ago. Thanks Ethan.

this year was a great year.

I became a member of bladeforums, then I found the Becker forum.

I then acquired a BK-14 and then a bK-2, and then an 11.

this, for me, was the year of the Becker. Before 2011, I never even knew what "Becker" was.

I likes me some 2011 :D
