Most Trusted Knife

Fixed: Becker Brute
Folder: LCS (Large Classic Sebenza)
Multi-tool: Leatherman WAVE
Flashlight: Arc-AAA or Arc-LS
:D

I hate to piss in the pond, but I'd take the multitool over the SAK.
The real pliers did come in handy when zippers start going bad, making one of my campers' sleeping bag unclosable. Also the tent zipper threatened to go south.
My leatherman Juice comes with most (if not all) of the implement on an Victorinox Camper, so I end up giving that away to a friend after the trip.
I'd say take a SAK/Multitool of you liking and choose a good fixed blade. Beckers are probably the cheapest ones to come by. Swamp Rat/Busse, and CS SRK isn't bad (I have that myself).
Good Luck on the camping trip.
PS Get real tents and real sleeping bags. Zipper problems naturally comes when your partners insist on a Walmart production....

fallkniven A1 I would trust my life to this knife its as solid as a rock incredibly strong and easy to use handy size. my 'test' for when i got this knife was I sharpened a 4 inch square fencepost to a point,it went through knots and all with no problems and i can still slice through paper with the edge

My choices?

First pick goes to my trusty Victorinox SAK Pioneer. It'll be sheathed in the pouch on my Becker BK9, along with a large FireSteel and a diamond hone.

If I can have another, it's going to be a nice small Queen or Buck multiblade slipjoint folder.

most trusted!

1.CS master hunter

2.spyderco delica

3.leatherman supertool

4.sak trailmaster & supertinker

in that order

I would go with the Fury Cavalier or the Galaxy... those knives are TIGHT!! they look so cool and everything and they can PROBABLY cut butter... not sure yet...

OF COURSE I'M KIDDING!

i'd say, go with the Kukri man :D

Lockblade - I'm going with my AFCK

Fixed blade - CS San Mai 3

hmm folder would hafta be a spydie wayne Goddard or military

fixed blade would also be my CS san mai tanto.

Hey BOk which one do u have?? I got the magnum tanto II the 13 inch overall one.

Most trusted? Sebenza. Plus an SAK. Plus a Juice tool. I had gotten the Juice with the intention of substituting it for the SAK (and it works brilliantly for this, by the way). But when I went on a hiking trip Saturday, I found that I just didn't have the heart to leave the SAK at home. So I took a large Sebenza, the C2 Juice and my trusty Victorinox Handyman. Hey, sometimes I take a Leatherman Crunch along, too. Those locking pliers can be very, very useful at times.

My Busse Steel Heart with a piggybacking Frosts 4" Mora. Between these two blades, anything and everything that was designed to be done with a bladed tool can be accomplished.

The one knife I am never without is my Darrel Ralph Mini-Maxx folder (4" spearpoint recurve in Talonite). I trust it to handle both routine daily tasks and whatever emergencies might come my way.

If I planned on being outdoors I would carry my Bob Dozier Texas #6 fixed blade (5-1/2" in D-2).

My Victorinox SwissChamp XLT would be my first choice of backup for either of the above.

No no, aXed...........its ok to admit you love Fury knives.
I know you have a couple of them as EDC's.
Haha j/k

As for the kukri, I can't wait till I try mines out.

I'd have to go with my small Sebenza and either a Swiss Champ or Leatherman Supertool. Maybe both. ;)

If it's like a California emergency (sudden earthquake) then I've got to depend on what I've got with me. That's usually a minimum of an AlMar Cash Clip money clip with a small blade and a nail file. Then either a Small plain Sebenza, BM941 BC1 or Socom Elite depending on dress. I would minimally have a Photon III as well for light.

If I'm lucky enough to have retained my laptop case, I'll also have a Leatherman WAVE, a small combo screwdriver and a Surefire E2E with a spare set of batteries. There's also a small first aid kit and a mobile pharmacy (Excedrin, Imodium, Pepcid, Tylenol Cold and Sinus, etc.). I'm thinking of adding a SAK Cybertool 29 to my breifcase soon to expand my portable repair capabilities.

If I can get to the car, I have a small backpack with a space blanket, an emergency blanket (wool type), a portable radio some Jerky, a few bottles of water, a compact poncho, a CS Med Combo tanto blade Voyager, a MiniMag w/ spare batteries and a pair of tennis shoes (in case I'm wearing loafers when the **** hits the fan)and I'm far from home.

I need to upgrade this system but am waiting for the Inova X5Ts to become more available.

If I have time to prepare for the event with what I currently own, I'd start with my Lile Combat (7.5" D2 blade, micarta handles), then my Leatherman WAVE, Microtech Socom Elite and SAK Mechanic and the Surefire E2E/ Photon III combo.

Then there's what I'd have if I had time to prepare and an unlimited budget....

Just my opinions.

I'm sorry, but I think you guys are NUTS to take a SAK into a "survival" situation! Think of being trapped in a building that was bombed - you may have to break glass, pry, etc... and you want a SAK??????

Whatever man, I'm takin' my Strider BT and I'd like to have a GB folder too...
