Most under-rated knives

I would have to agree with Opinel being under rated but one knife that would be my favourite underrated knife would be the Spyderco Native.

Boker AK 101 Best hard use knife for under 75.00 have two, one in the BOB and one in the pocket EDC.

Boker Exskeliber either size are great pocket carry knives.

Boker Burke Mini Ressurection the only thing mini here is the price, this thing is everything the ZT's are at less than half of the price.

Any Cold Steel with the Tri Ad, if it wasn't for the AUS-8 I'd have more (440C or make a D2 please)

Kershaw E.T.: Everyone sees it as a gimmick but it's one of the top folders in it's class in terms of strength and safety. Impossible to close the knife accidentally during use and extremely strong.

+2 on Mcusta, and also Moki. Two Japanese knife companies that, while not unheard of, are definitely not as popular as they should be.

+1. The Native is a great, low cost folder that you don't hear much about. It is worth a serious look.

I think very few knives in this thread are named that are actually underrated.

Take the Subcom....I've only heard good reports about that, and tons of it.

And someone else mentioned the Spyderco militairy? C'mon, have you been living under a rock? It's one of the most praised folders out there.

Fair enough. Let me try again. I have a CRKT edgie that has sliced open more boxes, blister packs, plastic ties and straps than all of my others combined and is still going strong. Don't know if it gets mentioned much or well around here (I need to spend more time here and a little less at AR15.com :D)

yeah, as someone that's new to this forum i'm surprised there is no kitchen knife subforum. I would think people that loves knives as much as the members here would also like to discuss what they use in the kitchen.

well i don't know about most underrated of all time but the spyderco barong by ed schempp is just finally getting a good amount of attention but not before spyderco decided to discontinue it.

We are discussing what we use in the kitchen.:D
The Spyderco Military works better in food prep than 99.999% of the bits of scrap metal out there that most people call "kitchen knives".

As for underrated knives, I like the D'Allara Drop Point. The handle on that thing is amazing, it opens beautifully, and the open Ball Lock is a lot of fun IMO.
The Poliwog is the best little big knife I've used (it feels great on hard cutting jobs).
And +1:thumbup: on the Superhawk.

Definitely the Kershaw Lahar.

LOL.....I was finishing reading this page to get to the bottom where I was gonna mention the first one to cross my mind....the Kershaw Lahar.:D

Yeah, its got a SWEEEEET blade and great size and I still cant figure out why they change hands for a song when far lesser knifes go for twice the price.

So far I've looked up some stuff you guys have put out there and it's very interesting.... let's keep this thread going!
