Most used knife

Depending on the season and the job, it's generally one of these.

Though I've been carrying my waved Endura and 531 a lot recently.

My beat up, battle-scarred, fully serrated old "Franken-Dura".

I Bought this one sometime around 2009, and it still gets used almost daily. Replaced the original black scales; removed the homemade "wave" a previous owner cut into the top of the blade; chipped the blade tip on a staple in cardboard; ruined the original clip (which was off a stainless Endura) and replaced it with a Ti low-ride clip; and it's missing a handle screw. For all that, it still cuts very well, even though it hasn't been resharpened in years.

It's in serious need of a trip to Golden, but I just hate to go even a few days without it. (Spyderco should have a "loaner" program, where they temporarily send you the same model as your baby that's receiving ambulatory care. You know, so you're not lonely. ;))

This is my most used/most carried, the Benchmade Triage. My old man got it for me when they first came out in 2011 I think it was, and I've carried it every day on duty since.

for fixed blades, I guess I use this one by Tim Olt the most. S30V steel, camel bone scales

for folders, it's hard to say, there are so many, and I use most of them. I do have a weakness for the Brad Southard flipper though

In my 20+ year career in Construction and Faculties maintenance I carried an OT 8 stockman and a Camillus Electrician knife. Since I,went into education I carried a ,10 dollar S&W Rubber handles linerlock and various smaller stockmans or Barlows.

My most used is a spyderco street bowie. Our puppy got the sheath 2 days after I bought it and we all know what lab puppies do they chew. Well after I found the sheath it had teeth marks all in it and the street bowie became a kitchen knife/around the house beater.

It's a damn good one at that. We keep it in a drawer on the kitchen and it does anything from food prep ,to opening boxes to yard work. Actually had to regrind it last night because the bevel was so thick and the edge was severely chipped

Most used, but not abused:

First is the SAK Cadet;
Second is the Spyderco Endura.

Working on a wharf and occasionally around a farm, mine would have to be a pretty standard SOG fielder G10, an oldie but a goodie. One of my first, a gift from my dad, and still a favorite.

My most used (past tense) would be my Uncle Henry Stockman. I carried it every day for well over 30 years. The only reason I retired it is because the main blade was worn down so far that, when closed, the frame didn't cover the point anymore.

Thats Awesome,, Carried for 30yrs!! I love that. Back in the day a man got one knife and carried it for life. If you told me I had to carry one knife for 30yrs,,You would have to call 911 because Id be having a Heart attack.

I carried a SAK Spartan for 30 years. When the red scales warped and one fell off, I sent it to Victorinox USA. They replaced the scales for free and sent it back better than new because the new scales came with tweezers and toothpick. Older models like mine didn't have them.

Some of my "most used" knives:

Busse TGLB, this thing has seen a lot of abuse from random chopping on hikes to splitting up structural lumber to pound nails and screws out of boards with the spine just for fun. Barely broken in yet IMHO.

Waterstoneblades Camp 7" blade, bottom knife. Used on countless hikes in the past couple years. The largest knife has seen mostly kitchen duty so that's where the epic patina came from... :foot:

I baby this contego ;) The last hard job it had was helping remove an old counter top from the master bedroom; pushed it straight through the grout line many time to break the counter loose... Good times but it took it in stride:

Scrapyard Dogfather & Rodent 9 chopping fools; the coating on the R9 is almost all used up LOL; time to send it back to Busse for a refurb. ;) The 1311 is still minty fresh but that needs to change LOL! :D

Almost all of my knives either are, or will eventually be "old beaters". Lol

I thought I would show my most used Knife. I beat the hell out of this thing but it keeps going. I think of it as a Mora but its marked "Frost of Sweden" . I use it in the Kitchen , to clean game/fish and general use. I have many more expensive knifes but I always seem to grab this one. Whats your most used old beater?

Mora of Sweden was formed in 2005 through the merger of Frosts Knivfabrik and KJ Eriksson.
