I ride either my Yamaha TDM900:

I have an Enzo Birk on the way that will probably kick the Bat out of my pocket soon though.

I don't carry them on my person when riding but dump them in my luggage. Usually that's a top case on the back, but on longer trips I use a tank-bag to keep a knife (among other things) handy.

After seeing first hand what a set of keys or even a cellphone can do to ones body when falling on it or scraping across the pavement for 20 yards on them I make sure I don't have any hard or sharp objects on my person when riding. Think about it, your suit & armour won't protect you from anything that's inside it already.

This riding season I will have a microtech socom delta CPM D2 in my pocket a majority of the time, as well as other microtechs, as I'm on a micro-kick lately.

And blades are what is in my pocket,usually a large folder [ not less than a 5" blade = DDR HTM ] and a few small blades.

SAK ,and whittler w/ 3 blades.

While on a trip,the bags will pack a Kel-Tec 16C and a few extra mag's for the G-23 on the hip.

Boot carry is the only viable option IMHO. I don't carry anything inside my suit anymore, hurts too much when you go down

- Both are carried in a KSF Adirondack pocket sheath. On longer rides, they go into a jacket pocket instead of pants pocket.


If I am moto-camping, I add a hatchet or large camp knife for wood processing.
