Mountain Man Giveaway --- Winner Announced

Thanks for the opportunity! I'll try to get a pic up. Hopefully my 8 month baby girl will give me enough time in front of the computer soon

Well, just got back from a manly trout camp trip.
I would love to be included in this very generous giveaway. Thanks for picking such a perfect requirement for this giveaway, it's awesome to see everybody.

Here is last seasons bounty.

Myself and my girl of 9 years now. Last Easter.

I have never posted a pic of myself nor do I have a facebook or anything similar but I figured for this group why not.

Thanks for the chance, dannyp! Here's me having a picnic lunch after a day paddling on the Loxahatchee River in south Florida. If you look close, you can see my old Vic Classic stuck in the table near the Tabasco sauce. :)

Here I am!

That's a beautiful knife! The winner should be thrilled by it. I hope it's me, but will be happy for whomever wins.

I think, I also gonna bookmark this thread. When reading a new post or thread I gonna look who´s writing it :)

@richstag: I´m the same way as you. I don´t have a facebook account or any other social-community, exept this forum. So this might be the only pic of mine in the internet.

Thank you guys for the pics of yourself!

Kind regards
Andi

Thanks for the opportunity. I've been desiring a Mountain Man knife from Queen even before I started hanging out in the Traditional forum. I just like big knives.:)

There exist no pictures of me with facial hair, as my wife hates it. :o Anyway, here's the most mountainly pic I have. It's at just over 11,000 ft. in the Rocky Mountain National Forest at the headways of the Colorado river.

Great idea for a give away thread. Interesting seeing the pictures for sure. Really love the pattern too.

I'm the tall guy on the right with the spiffy plaid hat. My buddies call it my "chick magnet hat". What do they know?

Anyway, the mountains here are in New Hampshire and skis are the best way to get about up in there in the woods. If snowshoes are the prose of winter travel, skis are the poetry.

Regarding your picture, was that a chalk board in the background? If so, some discussion of the random number generator algorithm, perhaps?

With respect to your beard, can you wait till winter? Perhaps confirm this guy's findings?

Thanks for the great giveaway, Danny. I've always admired the Mountain Man, but never had one in my greasy mitts.

In the interest of participating in this great lineup of traditional knife aficionado mugg shots, here's a pic of me swilling coca leaf tea (helps you acclimate to the 11,200 ft. elevation) in Cusco, Peru on my second trip there last year.

It's not a chalk board, just a dark blue wall. I can see why you might think that though. The white at the top is actually where the ceiling meets the wall and the wood at the bottom is furniture. I think we can skip the advanced mathematics discussion.;)

I could shave now and still grow it back out before then. This is only a little over 5 months of growth. That said, I've shaved off shorter beards during the winter and noticed the difference. The weirdest thing about that link is that he didn't shave the other half after the test was done so it could grow out at an equal length. Apparently he looked that way for quite a while.

Thank you for a great idea on a picture giveaway. Tha response has been fantastic. I don't have knowledge to post pic at this time. I really enjoy seeing the pictures of the people you read post from. Again a great thread. I will pass on the great giveaway, and let some one else win.

I'll pick a winner tomorrow night. Anybody else who wants to play should get in before then.

This is a fantastic thread, and I've thoroughly enjoyed putting faces to so many familiar names. The giveaway is a generous add-on.
If we had our computers set up for a videoconference, this is what you'd be seeing on my end:
