A Jack Crain custom.

I don’t see the site as a bad idea necessarily.

However, I completely understand marcinek.

I’m trying to think of a good analogy…

I guess it’s kinda like going to an information booth and saying “I’m writing a book about this subject, can you tell me what to write?”

Imagine marcinek as the employee rolling his eyes and handing you the already available free pamphlets and booklets.

Hey here's one. In the movie Taken, what knife did the karambit wielding baddie have at the end of the movie?

Thanks for having my back Peace. My profile may be new but, I assure you I am not. I have been reading the threads here for several years now. I'm very familiar w/ the little wine & cheese clique on here that likes to disparage and insult people in their threads. I've seen the crap they've put you thru as well. Why trolls like Planterz, marcinek, Insipid Moniker, craytab and the rest of their pathetic pack of cronies are allowed to remain here boggles the mind. They are the cancer of this site and the bane of it's existence. They ARE the people discouraged new members speak of ROUTINELY in the 'We were all new here once' thread.

What the hell did I do? I've never even posted in that thread.

It was a custom prop for the show. It was actually discussed on this forum by someone from a what seems like a prop company.

The user's name was isixav. His comment was:
"Hello,
I can confirm that my company realised this knife.
It was ordered for this movie by the Producer company and they looke like I think to the Strider model.
They don't cut for sure.
I'm so glad to discover it on the Forum.
Thank you.
Isidore"

Hi folks,
I thought of continuing this (really interesting) thread a bit
I have dozens of screen captures that I feel would be a shame not to share so I thought kind of a guessing game (guess the knife and/or the movie) could be fun.
Anyone would like to join? It's a way to further expand the hobby and information on the things we like. Just post a pic(s) and let's try and guess.
If there's enough participation I'd post a few pics every day or so and keep it going till I'm dry.

Thanks folks

Very much no, thanks.

Very much no, thanks.

why don't you, marci and other always trouble-looking folks just avoid commenting on the thread if you don't like the idea or have no interest on it, and let others decide by themselves? Keep your non-contributing comments to the thread you started in W&C please.
I mean, it's not that I feel like wasting your time forcing you to comment here or anything

I guess that's the risk you take on a forum when you ask for opinions....sometimes folks don't answer in the way you want.

Not to worry though, I have no "powers" to make other members' minds up for them. Yet.

If others like your idea they will, no doubt, chime in.

Only saying that if every member who didn't want to join the thread had to say so and comment we'd have too many pages of nothing contributive to the subject
Take it easy old Marci, too much excitement ain't good for your heart

That's why I just "Liked" IM's post. But again, you did ask if we wanted to participate or not. You seem to be anticipating at lot of No votes.

Now, an older and cleverer guy would have just opened a new thread and started the game. Then you wouldn't have to deal with opinions on it. There's a pro tip for you from me!

Just start a thread with a few pics and see if it takes off.
Your doing the idea and its potential a disservice by piggybacking and in effect burying it, 4 pages deep in this thread.

That is a good idea! :D"

Then... the other day I was counting tadpoles in the pond.
It happened around 3:45ish...

There was a burst of light in the dumpster next to me, and the contents of my lottery ticket spilled all over the bench seat of my Pinto.
From that moment on I KNEW there was no turning back.
We set forth on a course toward Alaska. We needed meat!!!
Sarah was setting the table with Moose balls, and Dumplin' puddin'.
It was perhaps the BEST Dumplin' Puddin' ever made but the balls suc^ed
There was a slight hint of WineHouse combined with a touch of New England salt so it was an interesting dish, however we had no time to eat

The equinox was approaching. Horses were racing toward the shore.
She was looking at the full sun, and I was looking at the moon. Why oh why, i said...
She looked, and fault-ered...added -sh -ing, sound(s)~ (that's a tilde)

What happened next was amazing...

A new thread was born... I moved on.
