MOVIE KNIVES... Can you name them all ???

Wasn't the Buck 119 in all of the scream films ?

Close, it was the very similar looking but larger Buck 120.

On the subject of Spyderco, Jason Statham gets stabbed through the hand with a...serrated stainless Spyderco Police, I think, in Parker. I know Hannibal used a Civilian in the books, but I think in the movie he used a Harpy.

Big Trouble in Little China - believe it was a Gerber. Great movie, RIP John Carpenter.

You know what 'ol Jack Burton always says at a time like this?

Gerber Benchmark Tac-II (Blackie Collins design)

Everybody relax, i'm here? Haha so awesome!

Thanks Sam... you got it 100%

:thumbup: This is turning into quite a cool thread you started, also. Nice.

I did just that! Interesting site...talks about knives and swords in entertainment, sells knives in its retail store, things like that.

I cant say that I have ever encountered that notion and I feel like I'm in the "knife world," and I don't see anybody else posting knives that never appeared in an actual production. But the OP seems to agree with it.

Its always helpful to make clear ones intent/parameters when opening a discussion. Otherwise people will try to figure out what you are talking about. And discuss that, instead of your intended topic. :thumbup:I am out of knives....every one I think of, someone has long since beaten me to it.

I never wanted to derail and get sidetracked, but that was the point and I wanted to make, whether I did or not. I didn't want to make it seem like there was some super spy commander secret "knife world," but simply that the term "movie knife" wasn't always strictly limited to knives that made it onscreen. When I have talked with makers, and the subject of "movie knives" came up, it was a pretty broad-ranging topic, and just like us users/collectors/admirers, many makers like to talk about the knives associated with the movies, whether they actually made it on-screen or not. There is often quite a backstory when dealing with Hollywood.

I also knew where Aidy (TRMS) was coming from, so I'm sure that influenced my posts. Regardless, I agree 100% with your statements above. This is always a fun topic to discuss.

Just to make a contribution to the thread, I don't have any pics, but I'm pretty sure in "Tears of the Sun" there was at least one Emerson used, maybe a fixed blade. A little fuzzy on that one, though.

ps.: As ol' Jack Burton says, "The check's in the mail!"

Is this the one ?..

Yep, there are several theads on it. It's a P.U.K. Good call.

Some serious knife action by Scott Adkins (looks like a belt buckle knife)

esee 3 on the new Red Dawn, and Adrien Brody had a Tops eagle in Predators.

This knife was in the remake of casino royale with Daniel Craig . dose anybody recognise the knife or the markings ?....

Not sure about the markings, but the knife looks like a damascus Mikov auto.

Edit: Marking looks consistent with Mikov's damascus line: A stylized cursive capital letter, followed by a number. An example:

I have two Mikovs, but they are the plain stainless models and are just stamped CZECH REPUBLIC on the reverse side.

"Killing Season", Travolta and De Niro have fun playing around with a Gerber LHR...they cut rope, meat, lemons and lots of stuff with it in the film.

And the movie "The Last Stand" features a Bad Guy knife being used by the movie's Bad Guy. I am pretty sure it's a CS Peace Keeper II...Spoilers in the pics!
