Some movies I'd like to see in '07.

Ghost Rider (looks extremely corny, but I've been a long time Ghost Rider fan, although every Ghost Rider comic I've picked up has been crap)

300 (regardless of historical accuracy and corny backgrounds)

Pathfinder (Vikings versus American Indians, the vikings did make it over here before Columbus, plus cool sword action, regardless of historical accuracy)

Pirates of the Caribbean 3

Spiderman 3 (only to get a better glimpse of Venom than I did from an online clip)

Any others coming out in theaters that we should be aware of?

Ghost Rider looks OK, but I'll probably wait for DVD.

I haven't heard of a single '07 movie that looks worth driving 90 miles to the theatre for. '06 had a few, but I didn't get to see very many, on account of the higher gas prices and being so busy at work.

None!
I don't go to the theater, haven't for eons!!!
It's too dangerous!
All those victims sittin there watchin the flick, the killer sittin behind em, slides his straight razor under their chin and blammo!
No scream or anything, the killer just moves on to his next victim, muhahahahahhaahaaaaaaaa!!! :D
Ya aint gettin me in the butcher shop, I mean theater!

Hey, Michael - I was going to say this! :D (Actually, my answer is "None" also. Don't like going to movie theatres, period.)

Rambo 4. . . maybe?

Not sure what else I might feel the urge to see.

Nobody is going to be able to slit my throat in a theater, because I sit low in my chair so my throat is inaccessable. :D

If that is seriously the reason why you don't go to the theater, then you need to see a shrink.

I usually don't go unless I really want to see the movie and waste the money.
I always bring my own refreshments. . .

"Shooter". I'll probably sit there and notice every inaccurate thing but I enjoy that stuff anyway :D. "300" looks good, no one has been able to match the Spartans, and "Ghostrider" as I've enjoyed most of the Marvel films (especially the Punisher, can't beat a balisong AND an Emerson karambit in the same film)

Diary of the dead
Halloween(remake)
Ghost Rider
Pirates of the Caribbean 3
Spiderman 3
TRANSFOMERS!

you need to go check out the 300 movie website and watch the trailer, this movie is going to rock, its about the 300 Spartan soldiers that held out against thousands of Persians at the gates of Thermopalye, also watch the video of the guys training for the movie...bad ass!!

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

If you've ever had any interest in the Surfer, EVER, you have to see this movie. It looks like the did the character correctly.

Also, The new Harry Potter movie is coming out something. I know, I know... But, I've been reading the books, and they've been pretty good, and getting more mature with each one.

Saw a preview of 1408: http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809721616/info

A story about a haunted hotel room; John Cusack goes to visit. Adapted from a Stephen King movie

Nothing probably, I hate going to the theatre where commercials, a bunch of dumbass's with their cell phones, irritating kids and volume 10 popcorn munching at the ole trough. :thumbdn:

If you want to see 300 you should see the original movie "300 Spartans." It's available at wally-world.

Not to go OT here but is it well made ? I think I have heard of this film.

found this review on IMDB

I remember this film, it was well set and the acting was good. I notice comments directed at Spartan culture and social organisation has been reflected on. Yes, Spartan life was extremely tough.Spartan warriors practised a strict code of coming back with their shield or lying on it. In other words, they did not yield or surrender, they fought to death or to victory. The warriors were also encouraged to pursue homosexual relations with their fellow warriors as a means to bond the fighting unit more tightly.Believe it or not, this was extremely effective in battle. I have the honour of actually visiting Thermopayle, and a massive statue dedicated to Leonidas can be viewed. I did notice the battlefield and how it must've looked a long time ago. It is extremely narrow and the area is extremely rugged, yet very beautiful.Leonidas chose his defensive position well. High hills to his left and deep water to his right, an army of Persian soldiers heavily armoured were compelled to attack the thin passage held by Leonidas. However, imagine 3 days of continuous hand to hand fighting in a hot climate such as Greece, these men were indeed super-men. The film did it great justice, but this is a film that should be shown either more often or re-made completely. We owe Leonidas that much.
