Haven't dealt with him through the forum but he is a top notch guy. I met him at the Knife show in Memphis today and saw a BM marked at a very reasonable price. When I asked about it it turned out it had the wrong sticker on it and it was actually $20.00 more. Although,this did not prevent me from buying the knife, he sold it to me for the lower price as it had been marked wrong. He'll receive future business for sure.

sorry i missed you at the show bravesfan...i always enjoy meeting forum members at the shows in memphis.....mike was also kind to me and let me put a few pieces on his table to raise cash for new goodies....didnt sell a single item but had a blast nonetheless...also sorry i missed PAT CRAWFORD hanging out at mike's tables for 30 minutes or so....somehow i always miss him by a few minutes.....feverdoc

Ok Russ......me looking like you was only Feverdoc's opinion..... I happen to think I favor more of the Bruce Willis, maybe Mel Gibson...maybe...perhaps Robert Redford in younger days...

Finally, a face to associate with the voice. I wish you were dressed in your browns though.
Mike Payne is one of the best, if not the best dealers out there. Not only that, he pays his bills on time.

I want to add my recommendation for dealing with Mike too. I also just completed a little arrangement with Mike, all over the 'net. What we knife aficionados need is more Mike Paynes.

Once again, I will back all the positives things about Mike.

It was good seeing you at the show Mike, thanks for the little Kasper! Sorry I missed you this time feverdoc, but I'm sure I will catch you at the big show coming up in February!

For those in the Memphis area, there is a big show at the Bells's Factory Outlet Mall in February. Get a hold of Mike for the dates (as I don't have them handy) since he'll have a table there. Pat's even got his own table! It should be good.
