Sadly, Japanese master blacksmith Mr. Itou passed away last year. His heat treatment and Damascus pattern metal work are true masterpieces and are in high demand. His R2 steel has a high hardness of 62HRc and yet is super tough and keeps a sharp edge for a very long time without any chippiness.
Available are some early works of Mr. Itou. Both are new old stock about 12-15 years old and have never been used or sharpened.
Both measure 12" with 6.5" blades. Both come with hand carved leather sheaths.
