I'm glad to see that the box has not suffered the fate of the last.
I've got a small handful of knives to let go, but I'd have to buy something new to make it worthwhile if I was going to restart this box for a second time.

I am also happy to see that only two of the knives I started the box with are left yet the box has grown this large.

That has been up to the recipient of the box. In early iterations, we just added and subtracted names from the original list. Somewhere along the line a winner decided to restart the game with a new thread.
Similarly with the list of entrants. Some have continued to work from the existing list, as updated. Others have restarted the list, asking players to re-submit their names. The guiding principle seems to be, whatever works for whoever is managing the box at the moment.

I don't remember if I set any new guidelines or just let the old guidelines stand when I revived the box GAW.
technically it's a new box but the rules of the old one are probably best.
Win, take and add what you want, then host the next rounds giveaway.
New threads are best to get entrants and such, but in this case it's probably fine considering how chaotic life has been for everyone during this pandemic.
