It has light scratches along edge and spine from the factory sheath.

Matt can you get a close up of the edge geometry? This will likely answer the sharpening question. If Mike is thinking what I am thinking, the question is if some altered the zero convex factory edge into a V using stones or something other than a strop. I had one that someone sharpened on a stone and it took several hours to get it back to something that resembled the factory edge.
