MTG anyone?

Dinging is when someone gives you a negative rep point...or tries to.

Someone just tried to ding me too but the worthless pussy doesn't have the guts to sign his name....nor does he have a rep high enough to do any damage.

I got a neg from him and a positive from a high rep member at the same time...I was bumped up to my third chiclet.

If you've got something to say stand up like a man and say it.

OK, I'm somewhat familiar with the reputation system, but giving negative reputation is not my style. I have however given everyone that posted on this thread approval to their posts, as this is a friendly conversation.

faramir,
Maybe I am a no-worth BLEEPBLEEP, and maybe I don't mean something over here, but the only thing I was trying to do was give some good reputation and I feel like I'm getting attacked here. If I did something wrong here, I'm sorry, but I don't think I did anything wrong. If I gave you a negative "ding" for any reason, I'll never show my ugly face here at BF ever again. Dude, I never wanted to start any trouble over here, just strike up a friendly conversation with people that have more common interests. Sorry for trying to be friendly.

Edited language.

I started playing around the time fourth edition came out about 10 years ago. The quit just after Tempest. But some people I work with play and I've started getting back into it.

Cards are a lot more expensive than they were back in the day... so when I have a need for new cards, I've been getting on ebay and buying a box of 500 or so random cards for $25.

I play irritating little old school decks... like a little red sleigh and an old black megrim deck. They're great against one person, but not very good in big three or more player games.

I am working on a blue deck that will basically stop things for a long time without the hassle of Stasis (grrr... I had a stasis deck, the most boring deck ever... I never lost with it, but I hated playing it).

In fact, we're getting together tonight to have some beer and play Magic.

First there was Magic to take all my money, then there were knives... now it seems to be Magic and knives.

And beer.

Hey Psychopomp,

Good to see that your getting back into the game. I still play the old school decks, but I like to play the theme decks that they make now. I used to have a lot of fun making decks and changing them around, but since I play multiplayer most people start trying to kill me off from the beginning anyway. My friends went through phazes of making anti-greg decks and named as such. Sealed deck and expansion pack play kept me in the game longer. It used to irritate the heck out of my friends when they paid $$ for a deck that I'd whoop with an expansion deck that I just opened. Good luck gaming tonight. Cheers.

Edited out foul language in quote.

Not at all. The comment was unsigned (as usual with attempts at negative feedback). My BLEEPBLEEP comment referred to the unknown individual, whoever that might be (moderators can check that but it's not worth the hassle), and definitely not you.

If I did something wrong here, I'm sorry, but I don't think I did anything wrong.
Don't worry, you did nothing wrong :) This was clearly just a misunderstanding (you interpreting my remark as 'attack' on you).

faramir,

I apologize for my misunderstanding. Thank you for the previous post, you set my mind at ease. You seem really cool, and I'd hate to P you off, or anyone for that matter. Cheers.

I am giving you all fair warning. If you have a problem with someone dinging you for rep points you will post it in the appropriate forum (TGB&U or W&C). You will not do it in an otherwise friendly thread and you will not do it in the Community Forum at all. Do I make myself clear?

Everybody please read the new & improved sticky thread on Reputation Points in the Service & Support forum.

Briefly, everything you believe about the reputation points system is wrong. If you get a gray chicklet you can't tell whether it was intended to be positive or negative, there is a good reason why the system is anonymous, etc. -- all that and more in the new & improved sticky thread! Read it and all your questions will be answered! (If all your questions aren't answered please post any remaining questions in Service & Support, not here.)

Well... I just hauled my hungover self back from the beer and magic gathering of lastnight. I didn't win (I was drunk) but I did succeed in pissing people off with a few well placed Megrims and other good discard cards. I'm evil.

And I lied about the beer... it was more like Jagermeister and vodka...

I don't play I just collect unopened packs and boxes. Have been since Alpha!!:D

Cougar Allen,
Thank you, I got a chance to read the aforementioned thread and it was quite informative.

Psychopomp,
The ONLY reason I play is to P off my friends. My #1 favorite card is the taunting elf, so you know I love to see my opponents cringe. I also have 4 complete sets of unglued ( believe it or not they were given to me ). Unglued has to be my favorite expansion, the whole expansion is just so darn humorous.

wolfmann601,
Now, your the one sitting on a gold mine. Disregard that gold mine statement; I know you need more room in your house, you can send all that clutter to me, I'll be glad to take care of it. :D Have you ever played?

faramir,
Hey thanks for the good karma, sending some back at you.

Cheers all,
Greg
