Mug Shots

That she is. She sees a camera and starts posing. I'm already dreading the teenage years.

I believe it... I have recurring nightmares where I have twin daughters that look like my girlfriend. What the hell do I do then? Eventually they will be eighteen...

I once told a guy, who was taking my baby cousin out for a date, that if he did anything wrong or disrespectful SHE WOULD TELL ME and I would sell every body part worth any money on the black market and display his nuts in a jar as a warning to all the other would be boyfriends. I can't imagine what it would be like if I had a daughter. I would have to console her constantly for every date she had that mysteriously disappeared.

Kid: Mr. Fletcher, I'm Simon. I'm here to take your daughter on a date tonight.

Me: Simon, does anyone know where you are right now?

Kid: No sir.

Me: How convenient... Step in here. Mind the plastic.

Nice thread, I'll pass off a cd to Brian at the April Gathering since I'm a computer Luddite. Heck, I thought I was a Luddite until the other day when a friend from N'Jersey called me and asked me questions about a trip her and the husband were going on. I offered to send them the info in an email, then she said they don't own a computer?!?!! That makes me 'upright man' as opposed to still draggin' my knuckles eh?!

Now that I see everyone here with family and are regular working stiffs, or soon to be; it makes a whole lot of sense hanging around here. A love of family and knives can't be a bad thing! See some folks from jersey here, going to have to have a get together once my back and forths to CT finish up this Summer.

Musicians too, and drummers at that?! Nice photos everyone, enjoyed it all and the longbows bring back memories of long Summers in the '70's......

hmm, well i got one of me last autumn

Wow, you guys all have beautiful families! Love the sippy cup/knife belt combo. Very survival preschool. :) I hadn't heard that we were breaking out the... uh.. liberal-baiting pics.. here's the only one I have like that of my little lady at 5 months. Old enough to sit up is old enough for politically incorrect posed photos.. :D Now that she's a toddler, we're going to have to some with the long guns..

I guess you can only hope to raise and teach them well, so that they'll do the right thing when you are not there to protect her. And truth be told, I don't ever remember fear as detering me from been a hormone-charged young man. I do remember not messing with the daughters of people I didnt want to be dissapointed in me.

That musician thing reminds me of something my father said to me when I was a small boy.

He said, "son, you can be fat, pimply, or butt ugly, but if you ride motorcycles, there's always going to be a girl way out of your league who wants to be on the back seat. The words "he's just not cute at all" somehow turns into "damn, he's funny and I like to have sex with funny people on bikes". A few grand is a small price to pay for always knowing you're never going home alone. Just don't forget your balloons.

My father was a very sensitive man who believed in a good, in depth talk about the birds and the bees. ;)

Speaking of which, what do you call a guy who hangs around a bunch of musicians?

A drummer!

Have been recording all week with our drummer...great guy, could almost be a musician himself. How do I know he isn't? Because he banged off five songs in a day, probably twenty takes a song, and at about take fifteen of song five, he was still ready to go and hadn't complained yet...

Meanwhile, the musicians (myself included) and the bassist had been whining and throwing tantrums since about take 3 of song 1...
