Mule Team Updates

Let's bump this back up.

MT05P will be available for sale on Wednesday, 14-Oct-2009 at 1000 (10:00 a.m.) MDT.

It will make a good user blade for $20. Not really excited about it, though I will order one because it is cheap. Excited about the Mule in Super Blue though!

I thought super blue was only available to well known japanese makers. Thats what i heard from sal i think...

Dont quote me on that though.

Sal said he could get some super blue, but the minimum order has to be more than what he needs for a mule team run.

We don't know what the next mules will be yet, do we? Provided there is I mean. I don't want to assume too much.

We've had a few guesses but nothing official yet. I'd like Super Blue too. It's a great steel that's not as brittle as some have stated. If run at RC 60, and not RC63-64 it's a really nice clean edge steel that gets really sharp pretty easily.

Any of the "blue" steels would do actually.

Any other guesses?

hmmm...
I'm exited to see a 'budget mule' as a fixed blade addition to my Tenacious,
but Spyderco's overseas shipping for $25,- is a dealbreaker for me.

Mine are on the way............... :D

Thanks again shunsui for the update on these............

Jut placed my order. Was looking through the woodpile just last night for some feathered walnut for scales.

Congratulations to Spyderco for reasonable shipping charges - 5 blades shipped to Oz for $25 is awesome.;)
Some retailers will charge $40 - $50 to ship one knife

Yep, got my shipping info and tracking #........ might have these "bad boys" by Friday......... ;)

EDIT / Not Friday.... but Monday according to the tracking #....... not bad at all. :)

Hep hey, got myself a few of these Mules too.

Wanted to get in early and can happily report that the order process works fine on a cell phone.

Got one on the way. Looks like the Chinese version of 440 stainless steel. Well, a lot of people swear by 440 out there, so this should be a useful Mule.

If anyone has Mules that need handles, PM me, and I will handle one in return for a Mule. It will save me the cost of shipping, and get you a handle. I have a bunch of nice woods, and have been wanting to do one of these for a while.

I am hoping this is OK, because I am not selling anything. If it is bad, please delete.

Thanks for the update!

I'm a little late, but now have Mule #5 on it's way to it's bretheren in the Northwest ~;-)
