Multi-Function Tools ?

It's gorgeous. The wooden handled one looks sexy and all that but as a bit of design I think that looks fantastic.

Ok how about I throw this one into the mix as well. Just remember I am not saying they could perform chopping duties as well as an axe or cutting duties as well as a knife, however they should provide you with a tool with which you could rely upon to make do !!!

I like it. I have a MMHW knife in 5160 and think its real well made. I like ulus and hand skinners/axes. We use ulus in the kitchen and find that once you get used to the style, they are pretty handy (I think the MMHW in question would take some getting used too...). I own a Junglee Panda skinning axe which is a great around the camp and seems more versatile than a hatchet. One of my new best friends is the ATAX, again; once you get used to it, it is very handy.. It chops, slices, draws and scrapes

I think you should buy it Pit, and write us a review....

I've been looking at this one for a while now from ragnar's. Any one looked at it?

Its called the Roselli axe/hatchet depending on size.

This one does not cost enough for many here but it does a great job of chopping, cutting and slicing. Good in the woods and the Kitchen. I could go afield with only this tool pretty well. (top one)

What? I'm down for cheap stuff. I admit I splurged a bit for that little hatchet I bought but oh well. That knife/hatchet is called an Aztec cleaver right? Looks pretty neat, I might have to get one of those. I must say though that I'm partial to hatchets that have an ulu type blade.

For a multi-whatnow, I would rather have a Fallkniven A1, it has roughly the same dimensions (2"~ shorter OAL). Way more practical IMO. That thing would be real pain to use.

Those Mineral Mountain products are very well made.
A buddy of mine has a MM similar to that but i think its called a rescue tool.
But man is it heavy! They are close to a half inch thick!
Keep in mind that while it doesn't look big that thickness translates into a lot of weight.
I have full-sized full-length handled axes that are much lighter than his MM.

tholiver is right, MM products are thick, but than again, Pitdog already carries a Dumpster Mutt which isn't exactly a fillet knife:D.

You never get the sense that a MM is going to break on you, when you are holding one...

Who makes the hatchet on the left? Such a simple, sturdy design is worth looking into...
