Multi-tools: Which one gets your vote?

I opted for the Victorinox and I'm very pleased with its smooth opening tools, safe lock, good blades and flawless operation. The tools are also very well assorted and the pliers allow you to perform both heavy and accurate tasks. It's tough as nails and very well finished.
The scredriver set is an added bonus.

Victorinox Swisstool.
I use it every day at work. The weight doesn't bother me at all - I don't really notice it is there until it's needed.

I have used my Victorinox Swisschamp for about 8 years now. It is flawless. I also have a Leatherman Supertool. It is great for the pliers, otherwise too heavy.

I would love a Leatherman Wave as well. I will get one as soon as $$$ permit it.

Email sent. :)

BTW...I was just in Burnaby a couple weeks ago on our way back from Vancouver. We stopped by the 1920's village museum (I can't remember its name, off hand).

1. I don't need a one-hand-opening blade anymore now that I carry a decent one-hand-opening knife every day.

2. I'd like all the tools to lock.

3. My wave is getting really stiff. It was pretty smooth when I got it, but dirt, rust or something is making the knife blades hard to open. I've tried cleaning and/or lubricating it several times. That's improved things but only temporarily.

I'll probably just sent the Wave in and ask Leatherman to fix it, but I'm thinking about a Supertool 200 or Victorinox (I love my Outrider).

Leatherman Wave ...

10 years ago I bought a Leatherman PST as a successor to my SAK "Forrester" (?), but I was missing the saw. Then 3 years later I decided go "Super" but I experienced several problems with the small screwdriver and the serrated blade (both steel problems). Then someday in 1998 I was going to pick up my recently "serviced" Supertool and learned that Leatherman had changed my Supertool into a Wave due to "customer loyalty". So today I carry a Leatherman Wave ...

I am missing a cork screw today, but the Juice Xe6 seems to be an alternative to my Wave (in "Storm" grey of course, I couldn't stand that purple color ...)

My personal favourite is actually the Swiss Tool.
I admit it is slightly heavy but it is a very minor inconvenience.

The finishing is first class and the tools are excellent. Almost everything a person needs in an emergency is there.

My choices have really changed over the years.
I really like the Gerber Pro-Scout but I found myself leaving it in the car and carrying a SAK instead.
But then I was often in need of some pliers, and the SAK was strictly for light duty only.
So I went with something stronger than a SAK, with pliers, and less bulky and less weight than the Pro-Scout...

The Leatherman PST!

I have'nt checked out the Juice line yet, but they look promising.

Allen.
