Yeah it has been rough going my last three outings. Still striking out, hoping to find something this weekend. Gonna be a short season. Being in the woods is always fun though.
 
This is my favorite time of the year, heading back out after work and again tomorrow morning. :) This time I won't forget my SOB, it got a little thick last time and got pretty scratched up but it was so worth it!

WOW!!! I am pretty jealous right now. I want to be happy for you and say congratulations but those suckers are giant and mine were little lol.
 
Finally found a couple today and they were doozies.

Came across a huge oak (~4 ft. diameter) that appears to have been struck by lightning cause it was both burned and had exploded.



Finally, here's my dog sacked out in the back seat after our expedition.

 
Found about a dozen total mostly small little greys but did find a few decent sized yellows.
