Lawrie, I forgive you for liking Flogging Molly.
Andy, it seems like you have a thing for pretty ladies in music videos.

I am but human Lexi, but I will say in my defence that "Ute Me" is not a song I like at all, just the "worst" perhaps example of new Aussie country I could find... ;) as for the others, pure coincidence ...!!!!!!!!

Trace Adkins is probably close to my favourite American act along with Toby Keith (just missed tickets to his Aussie show).

I really, really, REALLY love Keith Urban. He is from Australia isn't he? I am too intimidated by Toby and Trace..Big, Burly men with beards. :)

Yes Keith is an Aussie (originally from up around Rob Stanly's way I think). I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with his music, sometimes I think he nails it....other's not so much. One of the guys that work for me has a gig with a country music station/website here and he was recently interviewing Toby Keith.... he is apparently a pretty down to earth character.

I don't have a beard and am barly five feet tall....so no intimidating at all.... :)

Just another vote for Volbeat. Saw them in Mississippi this past Septiembre at the CPR Fest. Looking forward to it again

Volbeat put on a pretty great show. I'd be willing to see them again.

Heard this band for the first time yesterday. Can't stop listening to them.

Man, I could go on for days on music...I just have way too many artists I like. Lately, I listen to a lot of Clutch, Black Sabbath, Jeff Beck, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Iron Maiden, Joe Bonamassa, Tom Waits, Alice in Chains, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Robin Trower, The White Stripes, The Black Keys, Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker, Albert King, B.B. King, James Brown, Danzig, Metallica, Slayer, Mastodon, Days of the New, Pink Floyd, Down, Eric Clapton, Frank Marino, Gary Moore, Hank Williams III, and HW II, and HW I, G n' R, The Doors, Nine Inch Nails, Primus, Queens of the Stone Age, RHCP, Soundgarden, Sleep, Fireball Ministry, SRV, Steve Stevens, Ted Nugent, Tool, Van Halen, White Zombie, Ween, Velvet Revolver, Wolfmother, and ZZtop....those are the artists that I most actively listen too, among some others. I love blues, and varying degrees of hard rock.

Modern country...well I just can't handle it....but to each their own!;)

When I saw Keith in concert, he stopped playing his guitar to sign it and hand it to a random teenage girl in the crowd. I was never so jealous in my life. Aussie accent + musician + handsome = Win Win.

I LOVE Dropkick Murphys. . . . . :D

I just saw Brit Floyd in Concert with my father and they were amazing! They sounded exactly like Pink Floyd. The girl who did "Great Gig In The Sky" did an incredible job. . . I definitely had tears in my eyes. Here is a pretty awesome picture I got at the end of the show.

I bet that was awesome! I was lucky enough to get tickets to see Roger Waters perform "The Wall" a few years ago. Best show ever!

I'm liking Sea Sick Steve, kinda blues country rock. New to me but pretty sweet.

Grinding to IL DIVO most of the day. Keeps my head in the right place for fine grinding. Tomorrow is some heavy grinding, just straight up remove steel to get down to the base shape. I have Rage Against the Machine and Limp Bizkit qued up and ready to go. Friday should be handle work so that just involves drinking and setting the IPOD to shuffle. Johnny Cash to Lady Gaga and everything inbetween. Sometimes it fun to just see where the music gods take me.

Garth
