I went to a performing arts high school and majored in instrumental music. I play guitar, bass, double bass, cello, viola, violin, piano and other keyboard-type instruments, saxophone, trumpet, accordion, harmonica... those are instruments I've owned or played before, but I'll just say I have the knowledge in music theory to pick up any instrument, then I'm stuck to learning the techniques and tricks limited to the particular instrument's physics. like bending a harmonica's reeds or a guitar's strings. I prefer live acoustic stuff since I don't have the patience to toy around with the endless possibilities of sound going through all those effects. Would be nice to learn, but seems like there's a lifetime of study and experimentation in there, and I'm more interested in the raw music and the performance aspect, anyway :)

I've been playing since I was three years old, but I stopped after graduating college, so that was about three years ago... I am looking for a good reason to start playing again.

I've been playing drums and percussion instruments for almost 12 years now. Mostly jazz and blues, but occasionally some Classic Rock; Zepp, Thin Lizzy, Cream, Frampton.....

Bass and guitar... started on cello in elementary school, turned that into bass guitar in high school, then messed around with guitar for a while and have recently come back to bass.

Haven't been in a band for a long time, though.

I play The Smiths and Joy Division covers. I have played since 6th grade and I am in college now. However my guitar is up for trade here on BF because I am taking 19 credits and I have no time for anything.. I might as well just get a Busse (since I don't have any). Oh well.

This sucks :(

Played lead guitar in a new wave/punk band in 1976-1978. We played CBGBs and Max's in NYC, opened for the Ramones in Denver. After grad school, post-doc, and some career development, got back into playing. In early 1990s, played in a country rock weekend bar band in Detroit area. Do nothing organized with it anymore.

Sing in the shower, the water drops are a kind audience- they make noise no matter how terrible you sound :D

I've been known to sing in the shower. However I would not subject any human to the horror of my voice. The urge to ice pick your ear drums would be overwhelming.

Guitar player here. In my younger years, I worked as an engineer/producer in some big studios.

Played piano here and there; also sat in with a number of bar bands in Europe on blues harmonica or keyborads, most times just for fun. My two most favorite gigs were playing blues harmonica with Johnny Clyde Copeland, that year's blues grammy winner, and playing an old piano in a Sicilian "house of ill repute" in Ragusa just for the experience (actually, it had a pretty good repute). It's all been good.

I just happen to be the soul inventor of a new musical style I call "Gunther Rap". . . I think the name is self explanatory. . . .. . .

My first recordings are currently being used for crowd dispersion and riot control applications!

I'm looking to sign a record deal in the near future (15-20 years) when I will go on an unprecedented world tour, the likes of which have yet to be seen by man or beast!

We need to have Rob Stanley organize an INFI HOG Trough Band (Three HOG Night) for next year's induction at BLADE 2012!!!

If they play live, I will make a commemorative knife for the not more than 6 band members that will make the Nuclear Sea Horse blush!!!!!!

Uh oh. . . I feel some Gunther Rap comin' on now!!!!

Let's Drink . . . .

Jerry :D
