Musical Hogs

I just happen to be the soul inventor of a new musical style I call "Gunther Rap". . . I think the name is self explanatory. . . .. . .

My first recordings are currently being used for crowd dispersion and riot control applications!

I'm looking to sign a record deal in the near future (15-20 years) when I will go on an unprecedented world tour, the likes of which have yet to be seen by man or beast!

We need to have Rob Stanley organize an INFI HOG Trough Band (Three HOG Night) for next year's induction at BLADE 2012!!!

If they play live, I will make a commemorative knife for the not more than 6 band members that will make the Nuclear Sea Horse blush!!!!!!

Uh oh. . . I feel some Gunther Rap comin' on now!!!!

Let's Drink . . . .

Jerry :D

.

Ay caramba! I could do that :) Let me tune up my SG :)

Let's get to work Rob Stanley!

(No really I mean it.. !)

Oh and if Rob is number one- then I am number two! Spot on the list secured :D

Awesome!!!! Rightio then, what shall we do? Shall we write a special piece for the induction dinner? I reckon so. I already have the aptly named "The Awesome INFI", maybe we can use bits of that and work it into a new song. I'm no vocalist, so it's going to have to be instrumental, unless there's a stealth singer amongst the Busse clan.

I understand Beef is a pretty nifty ivory tickler too, so we've got keys covered. 2 guitars, keys - we need a drummer and a bassist and we're just about there.

Beef does some wicked vocals as well. . .

"The Awesome INFI" can be your FIRST number. . . We're gonna need at least THREE to make it a night and worth a special commemorative blade!!!!

With Garth, Josh, Wilbur, and Waz. . . errrr. . . I mean Amy, Lexi, Lora, Pokey, and Yvonne as your back-up singers/dancers. . . . you might have a show on your hands!!!

Better yet. . . . Maybe we should make it a talent contest!!!!. . . . Oh Shizzy!!!!!. . . . . Prepare yourselves for some killer "Gunther Rap"!!!!!!!

I'll be drinkin'

Jerry

If you're serious about this, I'm in. I could bass it. 100% committed, you have my word. I'd drum for you but I don't actually own a kit. I could try my hand at singing too but I'm not an expert--I just believe you shouldn't play an instrument unless you at least try to sing :)

Should I be doing rhythm? Or..? I'm guessing you're the lead guitarist. I'll see if I can come up with something to go under your guitar to make a fuller sound.. or if you already have something in mind we can do that instead.

And there's our bassist! C'mon Rob, get some tabs out for me to work on :D

Depends on what you're playing ;)

Rob, I can't really hear a bass part well in the video so I'm just playing what I think I'm hearing. Now it's just a matter of memorizing it. How do we rehearse?

I don't have strong opinions about almost every thing in life, but singing as a musician is one thing I really believe in. You always have your voice on you, it can do anything any instrument can do, it's the closest thing to what you're feeling. You don't need to be Luciano Pavarotti, you don't even need to be able to stay in tune. The singing isn't for performance--it's for materializing your musical thoughts. When I used to play more, I hummed along with my music, and only people within a few feet of me could hear it. It also helped me bridge the gap between what I was expecting to play and what my hands should've been doing when I was playing jazz. I know lots of musicians who can't sing at all, they're better with their hands than their vocal cords, but the point is they vocalize somehow because it's how they get their deepest thoughts out. Alright, cheesy ranting done. Just had to get that off my chest :)

I'm just jamming along to a backing track and the crappy little camera aint that good at picking up the sound. You can download the real track here - http://www.reverbnation.com/robstanley It's played on a 7 string guitar and a 6 string bass.

Music is phargin AWESOME!!!!! I love playing the electric guitar, I love the sounds and tones of it. I love the genres that embrace the sound of it, especially certain metal styles and jazz.

As far as rehearsing goes, well sheesh!! That's going to be a bit difficult :D

Great song! Anything INFI wins automatically. I play guitar and a lil bass. I also do death metal vocals haha.

Here is the first guitar I built from scratch!! With awesome fiber optic side markers. More pics here, check them out please!
