I would make my 5 all larges,
I'd have one daily user, it would be one I'd probably keep for a long time. Either a plain 21 or a 25.
I'd have one inlay based on my budget. Some inlays can be costly.
I'd have one CCG, I'm partial to a patriotic CCG's
I'd have one regular, then again, it would be based on budget. Right now the regulars are in demand which drives prices up.
I'd have one Wilson Combat Sebenza.
My CRK "collection" consists of a Sebenza (Starbenza) 25. The next must-have is a small one to round out the collection. Either an Inkosi or small Sebenza. I've been trying to decide on which for weeks now.
I would go with the Inkosi. Especially after owning and liking the 25. I know I like my Inkosi better then my small 21's.
Like Ajack, I'm partial to larges, too, but have others. I do have just 5 CRKs and some of mine are quite similar to those mentioned above.
--My user and EDC work knife is a large KnifeArt CF21. It's probably my favorite knife, but sees some hard use and is far from pristine.
--My large inlay is a 2009, pre-Idaho 21 bocote. Just too pretty-perfect to carry and is my safe-queen.
--My other large is a WC 'Zaan which I carry, but keep nice. Way up on my list of favorites.
--Smallest is a snakewood Mnandi. Very pretty and my dress carry--always in it's leather slip--when I don't want to show a clip.
--Last is my small 21 cocobolo inlay, my first CRK, bought as a user and carried occasionally. I'm always back-and-forth on this one whether to keep or sell and pick up a larger CRK.
I know which one's for me since I've sold most of my knife collection over the past 5 years, and just recently sold a few Sebenza's, with two being rare older large Regulars.
I love the Regulars and Classics.
The four I kept are...
* Large 1997 BG42 Regular.
* Small 1997 BG42 Regular.
* Large 2006 Micarta Classic.
* Small 2005 Micarta Classic.
I'm happy with only those four, but if I ever do buy more CRK's they'll be Regulars or Classics too.
