I hope your trip is fun, constructive and safe. Can you bring the 119 and the Becker? Both fine blades... Post pictures for us if you can!
 
So far it looks like I'm only bringing the Buck. The Becker arrived late last night thanks to Amazon's persistent customer support, but we had given our luggage to our drivers a few hours prior. I'll have to put it in my truck, and when I drive up to the church to get on the plane I'll see if I can slip it in. It may have been sent to the airport early so we wouldn't have to deal with it today.

We depart at 3PM EST, God willing. Thanks for the support.
 
Knives are tools. Tools sometimes have to be, need to be or the owner just wants to modify it. Good for you. I have a large Rubber Maid tote full of knives. MOST are modified in one way or another. I think they are better for it & more functional now then before. Modify away is what i say. If it ever breaks, so what. It's not like you will be out a ton of money. Good for you.
