My Amazing Mystery Khuk

Cheer up Duck, this Durba will be well taken care of, and treated with much respect. When I'm old and feeble it will still be shiny and bright, and will be passed then to younger hands, as it should be.

As I recall, Kesar used that mark for a while after Durba left. I've got two by Kesar with that mark, and one with what looks like maybe a half-sun which was his earlier mark.

There was an orgy of mark-swapping, it's what led to the request for initials.

Chances are its by Durba, but there's a slight chance that it is not unless you're sure it was made more than about two years ago.

OK, then.:)

Just thought I'd mention it.

Like most occasions when trivia are repeated, the info was worthless or inapplicable--trivia are still fun.

Date of manufacture would help to make sure. The Nepal flag mark that Durba used was very done very clean while Kesar's flag was a little wavy on the examples we have. The flag was perpendicular by Durba with the points toward the handle and parallel with the points toward the edge side of the blade on the Kesar. Depends on the khuk too. Kesar made the basic standard ones only I believe. Either way should be a good khuk.

Guys, thanks for all the info, but have no fear, this BGRS is 100% genuine Durba. It's well over two years old, the maker's mark is definitely Durba's, not Kesar's, and the gentleman that sent it to me is, well let's just say a "Durba specialist".
