My Apologies

Thanks for pouring your heart out for this business Andy. You have handled everything very well and shown more polite patience through this episode than most people would. I don't see that you did anything wrong at all, but it is noble of you apologize for the disturbance that this caused on the forum.

I hope that you have a fun weekend off with your family to get back to thinking about what really matters in life.

Best regards,

Phil

Andy:

It's all about striking a balance between work & life which is not always easy to accomplish. Given everything you've got going on I'd say you deserve some down time so you can re-charge & re-focus on what matters most......which is family. Above all enjoy the upcoming weekend with your daughter !

I do admit that I am in desperate need of a weekend off. I've not had one since the production parts showed up and I'm getting thin. This weekend is free and clear to practice softball with Hannah!

Take the break! Spend some time with Hannah. The knives, friends and customers will still be here when you return.;)

Yep. Softball and having a feast. Most custom makers aren't skinny and you want to blend in... :p

The only thing I have to say about this whole thing is in my sig line. And Andy, you are, and have always been, a gentleman.

I have been a long time follower and only purchased one knife from Fiddleback and I have zero doubts about the dedication, determination or intentions of anyone there. As I said in my leuku thread you but only have to look at the thing to see everything you could possibly need to know about the people making them. I hope to get many more in the future.
This seems a most unfortunate event. Now back to slavering over the preview thread. :)

It's cliche, but it's true. You can't please all of the people all of the time. At a certain point, for whatever reason, there was just going to be no pleasing this person. Sometimes these things just happen. You character shines through each time.

I appreciate the transparency and candor. It's part of what makes this a great community.

No worries. Make knives. Enjoy the weekend!

Enjoy it! I work like a dog 6 days a week but I always take one day off, no matter what, and spend it with my family. Kids grow up fast and you got to take advantage while you can!

Sheesh man! you got nothing to apologize for. You are a fine and honorable man working his a$$ off to build a business. You responded in a timely way. Just because one customer has unreasonable expectations does not brand you as a liar or a thief. in business problems arise. The question is: how do you handle the issues.

Well Andy, what you do is make it right.

That's all that I can ask for, and it's all that ANYONE is entitled to.

Bless you for being the kind, serious, responsible businessman that you are!
