My AR.. so far

So most of you remember back in December when I said I was no longer buying knives in order to save for an AR (which sucked cause all the cool new ESEE stuff came out like izula scales, lite machete, junglas etc..). Anyways, Here she is after surprisingly only a few months of saving.

Daniel Defense DDXV w/ Magpul MOE hand guard, MVG vert. grip, Pmag (x5), MOE pistol grip, and MOE Stock.

She's definitely not done. Next are QD swivels, Magpul MS2 sling, Magpul BAD lever, and flashlight setup. Of course I'll be posting them up when I get them.

This baby feels goood. Cant wait to put some rounds through it.

sweet! i was just thinking if only i can get magpul's grip texture on my knives' scales, i'd be very happy.
 
Very nice, looks like the sort of collection any good citizen should have in stock.
 
I'm actually kinda torn between wether i like the stock DD handguard more than MOE. The original my have felt a little better in my hand, but the MOE doesn't feel bad and it's ability to mount stuff on it with rail slots makes it a pretty good value.
 
Just put MagPul's new AFG (angled forward grip) on my M&P-15, and while I haven't gotten a chance to live-fire it yet, I think I'm gonna dig it.

Someone mentioned KISS - I agree 100%. I just don't understand the need/desire to hang every available accessory imaginable onto an assault rifle.

It depends on what you want to do with the rifle. Mine is kitted out with the things that work for me even though it adds weight. Red dot for close in and a magnifier for shots out at 300m, quad rail to move the optics forward/run a vert grip, Magpul BAD for stoppages, etc.

Sometimes depending on what you do with your rifle the acessories are worth the weight.

but you guys have pre-ban receivers and mags...we can't :mad:


jake, nice looking rifle! all it needs is an aimpoint with a larue mount and you can go back to buying more esee knives :thumbup:
