I find myself more and more being drawn to a particular type of traditional knife. I got this one yesterday from the bay...sorry if I snatched it from another forumite. Its a Capitol Knife Co Winsted CT. Im still researching. Its got good snap and its clean for its age. It has been cleaned by the previous owner and it looks like the main blade is tweaked a bit. Sharpened her up and shes in my pocket today. All in all a nice piece, bone covers like this are a particular weakness of mine.

Really nice knife Dave

I like the jig pattern on that bone. looks a bit familiar , though I cant quite place who else used it?

Rick and Dave, we must be offshoots of the same tribe!
I have way too many barehead jacks for my own good!
Do you want some more pics in your thread??

The Barehead style is my favourite. Of course, it doesn't work on all patterns but it looks so good and feels right in the hand. The examples shown so far, bear out my point of view :D:thumbup:
