My BK2 and a little elbow grease - UPDATED with scales and sheath

Great job man!
I plan on stripping my BK2 this weekend, but still on the fence on how far to take the polishing.
I was going to leave it rough as I plan on keeping it a user, but that shine really has be reconcidering now!

So stage two of my project just arrived in the mail and stage 3 (Marathonman scales) is well on it's way! I got home and was happy to see my new sheath had arrived. Now a little more about this sheath. I looked at the hedgehog and was about to pull the trigger but I really wanted a loop for a firesteel and a small pouch to carry some basic survival gear. Hedgehog was unable to accomodate my requirements so I scoured the internet and found a design that I really liked made by Adam Cantrell of voyagerleatherworks@yahoo.com. The pictures below will speak for themselves as to the quality of this sheath and it's capabilities. A couple of features that I really appreciate besides having both the pouch and the firesteel loop is the fact that it is modular which allows for it to be worn vertically or horizontally on either hip or on the back. This thing seriously exceeded my expectations in every way. The fit and finish is top notch and this is one of the finest pieces of custom leatherwork I've seen let alone owned. Anyway, enjoy the picutes below and let me know what you think.

That looks awesome. The work on the knife and the sheath is top notch!

Update!: I spoke to Marathonman yesterday and he informed me that my new scales should be ready to ship today. He snapped a couple of photos for me and let me tell you guys these things are SEXY! I am as giddy as a school kid on Christmas eve.

In preparation for the arrival of my new scales I'd like to get some nice stainless harware. I visited both Home Depot and Ace Hardware this weekend and was only able to find the correct hardware in black. Does anyone know where I can order the correct hardware on the web and what size I need?

Hey guys, first post here. I bought my BK2 a few months back and decided i liked the look of the stripped ones. I used the same method as posted here and it worked great. Thanks for the write up and all the great info guys.

Looks awesome trdguykc, nice job. And welcome to the Becker BK madness.

Thanks Guys. It definitely is a madness.... I bought a BK11 as well and plan to add more to the stable. The trouble is that now I want everything under the sun..... If its not guns, its knives lol.

Stick around and become a Beckerhead. Always something going on around here.

Very shiney, the one bad thing about having the blade polished, the first time you use it scratches will be seen.......but it looks good
