My book is being published!

If your mate was in Africa he qualifies for elected office. Should be interesting reading.

Congrats on the book! My congatulations letter and a copy of the contract for mine hang in a frame on the directly behind me. I think the 1st royalty check is in there too.. all of $10!:D

Good on you, sounds like a good book too! Let us know when it goes on Amazon!

Sounds like the story would make a good movie. Make'um pay dearly for the movie rights to your book, Ming65. :D

Congrats!

That actually sounds like a really interesting story. I'll buy the book when/if it becomes available over here, and not just to support a fellow member either.

Don't knock the forums either - I reckon debating philosophy with Sharp Phil and Ken Cox in the early days did wonders for my ability to pare down superflous verbage and get right to the point. I'd often put a few layers in top of what I really meant and having those guys skewer me for that really helped.

Thanks, man.

I just had to share this with my blade mates.

After 4 years of hard grind and another year of trying to secure a literary agent I finally have three concrete offers from major publishers on the table.

If you want to bad enough......

I finished my book at the end of the Gulf War. Adventure ,Korea, 'Nam & terrorists.

Bought ex a word processor & then this $1,1000 H/P & she typed 2 or 3 chapters.

When the fever hits again Patsy'll do it.

Proud of you buddy !

Good work man, I am always thinking of ideas for my own book someday,
your story is encouraging.

Chopper is one of the funniest films Ive ever seen. I was going to reel off my favourite scenes but realised this is community centre!

Wow! Sounds great - I will buy one. Way to go sticking it out. I never had the patience, so I published my first 2 books myself. With print-on-demand technology it is agood way to do a small run and this can be sent to agents, reviewers and publishers.

Please let us know availability.

Dave

Not only finishing, but STARTING a book has always hit me as one of the most daunting tasks one can undertake. This is wonderful, Ming. Congratulations.

FWIW, I hear writing short stories can be every bit as difficult as a novel.
