Makes sense, but I've got to ask, why not add a blue spacer to the other side?

I was lazy, and it would need more sanding on the other side. :D
a lot of extra elbow grease since I have no power tools.

Roger that. Wood scales are looking good. Looking forward to the finished project.

I coated the scales multiple times over the course of the day.
tomorrow I will sand it, and apply another coat.

Will post pics then.
really beautiful results so far. :)

Rappy very nice work ,I like the light color in the handle.:)

Thank you very much, such kind words for hard work!

Sorry for the delay

Here is the last update until Sunday picture day.

I sanded it with 400 grit, and put 2nd coat of danish oil.
Very very stoked about the results!

This is with the oil still wet, before I would wipe it off.

and finish my project with bee'swax. (obenauf's essentially, buffing)

Looks good Rappy.:thumbup: What knife will be your next project? Can't stop at just one.

Do you have a rap that goes along with that 124?

That's a real beauty you have there and the best part is that you did it yourself. That is something you should be proud of.:thumbup:

Good job, Rappy! Very unique, personalized and one of a kind.
