My Bushcraft Knife - Take 2

Beautiful piece of work you did there! Man I can see another knife maker in the happening.

Actually, Muskrat Man's knife was in my mind when drawing up the design. As was the Skookum, The Aurora, and Koster's bushcrafter. I think the main difference between this one and the MM is I tried to incorporate the "reverse hourglass" type of handle that the Aurora has.

I have not handled the MM, but it is my understanding that it is not shaped in that direction.

When you say "stock is a little thin" I forgot to mention, the two batches I am making up will have both 1/8" (which this one is) and 5/32" for the folks that like something a touch thicker.

B,

You are right - the handle is a different shape on the MM.

Can I give a touch of advise - careful on a long grind on the 1/8th stock - it leaves a VERY thin blade and can wear very easily.

You may want to do a steeper grind on the 1/8th stock.

I really like your work and will be paying attention when you sell yours.
