Does it cut?

Yes pro - it does cut

. The grind is convex, with a tiny "v" edge. The steel is 1/8" CPMs30v. Thanks for your comment!
How wet did you have your edges when you burnished? I see you rolled over some of the edges - that happens to me if I get it too wet - or I don't leave enough material to burnish.
I can't believe you made your own stamping tools - that is so bad assed!
Thanks Tal for your feedback - really appreciated! The way I proceed for burnishing is to apply some gum tragacanth on the sides and let it penetrates 5 minutes or so. I then buff with a suede rag vigorously to remove the excess and I rub a deer antler to have the glassy look. How do you burnish?
The rolled edges are definitely because my stitching is too close to the sides; I have to learn to leave more leather there
As for the stamping tools, I took the idea from the italian maker
Denis Mura. He has a tutorial section with many good ideas, a very nice website, and some very unique cutlery pieces...totally worth a look!
Did you make the nessmuk as well?
Yes I did, Chinpo. Maybe some specs are in order:
- Overall lenght: 8.75"
- Blade lenght: 4.25"
- Thickness 1/8"
- As stated above, convex grind with a small "v" edge
- Full tang Cocobolo handle, 1/8 brass pins, stainless steel lanyard tube.
I originally made the knife for a forum member here but he since "disappeared" so I don't know what I will do with the knife. It may become available in an exchange forum near you

Thanks all for the great comments!
