My CRK experience

Love the pictures guys. The small 21's, plane & micarta , are my favourite CRK's atm.

I couldn't find the charcoal lanyard on there website for sale. Did You just call and see if they had any RyanBender?

Am I doing it right coach?

Love this picture!

I have a bunch of knives but either my large or small Insingos are carried every day. Simply the best made knife I've owned including customs. Today I did use my Benchmade 710 in D2 to hack up roots from plants that I would not use my Sebenza for simply because of the blade steel durability. The BM D2 is very tough and much better suited than Chris's S35VN for the type of work where you risk hitting rocks, etc. BUT, Insingos are a great balance for daily use with the benefit of ease of sharpening similar to 1095 but also stainless.

Latest EDC evolution...
Sebenza 25 S35VN, just arrived.

The blade is really stiff to deploy, in fact I can't do it with the thumb studs and takes two hands to open.

Can anyone offer some friendly advice to ease the opening for a new Sebenza user?

Thanks 353 really appreciate you taking the time to respond.
YouTubed a couple of videos on how to do it.

Really glad I have a Shirogorov inbound...

...as I won't have to mess around finishing the knife on delivery like this Sebenza !

I don't own a sebenza yet but from my experience with other framelock knives i can say you have to make sure that you aren't putting pressure on the lock bar with your fingers as you open as that will cause the detent to push against the blade and keep it closed. If your form is not your problem adjust the pivot as 353 suggested. I'm pretty sure i read somewhere that CRK said you should not use loctite on their knives but that's up to you. Good Luck!
