My daughter stole my knife!

LOL. I understand. My daughter can be a girlie girl when she wants but is a blade head just like everyone here. She has managed to talk me out of one fixed blade and a few folders. One CRKT, two Vic SAKs, and a no-name flipper. Plus, lots of kitchen knives for when she went out on her own.

Oh, almost forgot about the Gerber MP600 with a custom tool layout. I gave her a standard model and she seemed to be happy with it. Then she noticed that mine had different tools, so I explained that mine was a custom build. When she told me that she wanted hers to be like mine, I joked and ask if she was going to bat her eyes at me? Of course, she did and then I was backed into a corner! I ended up buying a second MT just to get parts for her MT.

Edit: She also recently got a pink RAT 1 for Valentine's Day from the Pay It Forward thread here on BF.org

LOL I got my gals their own knives . My wife took her mom's Huntsman after she passed away as I bought my daughter a Tinker SAK and a Dog Twitch II as graduation gifts. I got the Wife a Old Timer Folder years ago.

Your daughter did not steal your knife. She gave you two gifts -- one gift was her happiness and gratitude and the second gift is the excuse to buy another knife. Never look a gift horse in the mouth.

I have one gd-daughter who is a real knife-freak, even before I started giving them to her. She is about to start Grad School and has carried a blade on her for years...she knows it could come in handy.

Besides the knives that I've given to her, my daughter "borrowed" a couple of mine and I don't expect to get them back.

Similar experience, i had to make a custom job on a friend's SOG after he commented on how cool my loadout was, and I told him I set it up that way myself...

My wife didn't actually steal it but she wanted something for her keychain - just a small knife for EDC tasks. So she got my Microtech UTX 70 in purple. The color helped as she thought it was cute. She really likes it. Gets banged around with the keys but is holding up well.
